The Future Of Sneakers Is Trash.. 

Nike has been dropping limited pairs on shoes that sold out within minutes, for the recent years, and then decided to use capacity to produce shoes that are sitting for weeks or months. 😂 A lot of people including myself, would have copped a lot more pairs, like Kobes and Travis Scott etc... if we could get them for retail. They deserved to have their stocks going down. 👍

The world of sneakers is vanity. There is no such thing as a “brick” or an unpopular shoe. Wear what fits, wear what feels good for your own feet. The rest is BS.

As an avid sneaker connoisseur, Nike deserves this with their hype overdrive, trash QC, and price gouging.

Nike doesn't make profits off of resale, so now they're releasing everything from the vault to lessen the vale of sneakers

Nike needs to bring back those Nike Flightposite 3s. I believe this generation is ready along with a set of OG sneakerheads. I feel like Jordan Brand is becoming Nike and its suppose to be its own entity owned by Nike. I believe thats why Nike is oversattured with Jordans. Bring back the og style of kicks. But you are also correct dealing with the economy that $200 joint is a dub.

NIkes sales haven't been this low since the 90s which would mean the 90s really wasn't all that good for Nike neither. Thats the main reason they released so many new models back then because nothing was hitting and sitting on shelfs and going on discount. They def had more innovation back then for sure but. It's a bunch of reasons Nike is doing pretty bad this year and reported a terrible Q2 last week. They made 0% from dunks which is nuts lmao.

They only droppin retros because they know there’s definite demand even in this trash poor economy rn which is probably smart/safe move since people don’t wanna take a risk on new products they’re not sure bout with limited finances. Every company doing this rn too just think rereleasing old classics or slight variations like with all the sambas out there

The CEO was keen to increase margin to boost quarterly earnings report, that's very short term wall street way of doing business. Not good at all. The company's top line revenue and market share falls as we can see now.

nike stuck in the 80s, they need a time machine to get back to 2024. Once you get to the top, get to that number 1 spot then you have to work to stay at the top over someone will be there ready to knock you off. looks like nike got too comfort while at the top.

I think things will pretty much stay where they are now for the foreseeable future

sneakers is a fucked up game. not many other hobbies have people that see a shoe for example the travis elkins 1 lows and go "that shoe is ass, but im still gonna try for it cause i wanna flip it" i dont buy t swifty records and shit as a vinyl collector just to get in-between the artist and the fan to make a quick buck or even worse really to afford the shoes or records i actually do want. its a never ending cycle of the brand not releasing enough stock and making them hard as hell to get and then people that dont give 1 fuck about the shoe having access to it and making you pay double or triple.

I think Nike is retroing these grails cuz it’s something they figure should guarantee sell outs and will get the people hype and tbh it’s not a bad strategy although yeah it might seem corny the reality is we all missed out on these we do want em and we don’t wanna pay resell so it’s a W really

Only reason yeezy and adidas blew up is because it was the newest wave of attractive innovation, with that out of the picture and nike focusing on all retros they are quite literally stuck in the past. I want to see innovation coming back, i love these shoes that are designed with futuristic and also biological designs. I feel thats the future, either yeezy and adidas get their shit together or some new player needs to fill that space. Until then i feel the sneaker world is gonna be a bit lame.

Yeah Nike definitely shot themselves in the foot by pulling from brick and mortar stores. With resellers driving people away, people are looking for other brands to wear, and with little to no Nikes on shelves that gives room to the competitors to showcase their product, and people are feeling these other brands and prices dragging Nike in profits. But Nike still will be top dog for awhile

I said it before will say it again, Ye rejuvenated the whole sneaker game with that collab gone we back to the 00s-15 sneaker world. The 90s was good because we had, Jordan’s, air 90s, 110s, Reebok, Fila, Puma etc… but then some of the companies fell off so we had basically just Nikes until Ye. With no YE sneakers to look forward to, it’s just the same old clapped hoe shoes. Another dunk, another Jordan, sambas etc… add to that whack collabs who no one outside of hipsters cares about. Sneaker future looks grim.
