I'm jealous of the people who are new to this channel, they get so many years of awesome to watch... here I am scratching my arms waiting for every episode.
Keep in mind the Matty Jay stuff was shot over a year ago, and prices have gone way up in that time. So yes he was giving everyone great deals, but that was when some of these games we got were going for way less than they are now. Still great deals though, he's one of the good guys.
The Game Chasers For those who were wondering Matty Jay was also briefly in ep.43 at the end dropping off clothes for Billy, after his stuff was stolen in Memphis. Definitely a good freind to be willing to help out like that.
I live in the pittsburgh area and I am sick of going to Eides and The Exchange and not finding shit. Been to someother places but all terrible prices. Any ideas man?
Even though the footage is from a while ago, Matty Jay has always had great deals. A few of those games in his collection used to be mine from trades we've done.

I've got to compliment the editing on this. The thing I love about The Game Chasers is that the show definately feels very professionally made but it also has that sense of community in it. Also, the music chosen for the backgrounds also gives me that nostalgic trip. Especially when you use music from Snatcher (SegaCD Soundtrack) and Mystical Ninja. :)

Akiba is the WORST place to buy games. Super overpriced. You gotta get out in the suburbs and dig in recycle shops. The Hobby Off near me has whole aisles full of tubs full of games for about $0.90 each. No joke. Japan only Saturn titles, PS1 games, PS2 games, Famicom, Super Famicom, you name it.
Yes and no. You need to know where to look in Akiba. Yes, I have gotten great stuff from HardOff before but have better luck at BookOff. Yes, I agree that if leave Tokyo and look in places likes Ashikaga, Tochgi, and places like that you would have better luck for prices but not in selection.
maddog187killa Yeah, I'm just saying they're game chasers. Going to Super Potato in Akihabara is like shooting fish in a barrel. Digging around in Hobby (or book) off is the equivalent of going to a flea market in Texas.

love the game chasers. i would spend an entire day watching these videos if you guys were fortunate enough to get the footage to make that many episodes....so instead i watch reruns all day! :D
