"The Game Is Not Over" - An SSBM 10 Year Anniversary Combo Video 

Man, the 20 year anniversary combo video is gonna be so dope

I don't think any game has ever come close to Melee. With such a longstanding, intimate, and growing community, I don't think smash will truly ever die. I'm proud of this game that I play, because this is hands down my favorite and nothing can ever dispute that.

melee's so old that it's getting it's license soon. melee's so old that it's parents are worried about drugs and alcohol while melee's at highschool. melee's so old but it's still growing

Melee, the only Smash game where you can upload a combo video 10 years after its release, and it still gets over 100k clicks. You think anybody will be watching Brawl or Sm4sh highlight videos in 2018 and 2024?

Even though I like Smash 4 a lot more than Melee combos like these reminds me why I still play this game .

Watching all these combos reminds me why I love SSBM. It was fast paced and required quick thinking and that made it a really competitive game. Yet at the same time, it could still be picked up by casuals to just play for fun.

wow. this video is freakin amazing. so many great combos and clips used. i do agree with a couple people that a few older clips coulda been used, and i feel like for this kind of video, at least one epic combo for each character would've been great, but spectacular video nonetheless. it also made me remember how i loved watching matches with waffles commentating and all that.straight perfectly shown with the clip at 11:16. "oh wow get fucked up. get whooped....badly" priceless. again, great job

As much as I love the Smash Bros series, each one has a set pattern on how combos can be created, besides from the poor DI in attacks. My comparison in combos is like this. Combo Comparison in the Smash Bros series: 1st: Melee (GCN) [Hardest Combos to pull off unless you put practice in] 2nd: Smash (N64) [Easier than Melee, but still hard] 3rd: Smash (Wii U/3DS) [Easier than Smash, but not as difficult] 4th: Brawl (Wii) [Absolutely none, unless you know how to exploit dodge recovery time, making it combo worthy to a certain extent] When people say there are no combos in Brawl, I can agree to a certain point, but I just think about the matter at hand. Some characters can do air combos good, ground combos good, and some can be both. When I think of combos in Brawl, the characters that instantly pop in my mind are: Marth, Sonic, Captain Falcon, Luigi, and Meta Knight. I've seen some good players in Brawl, but in my opinion, Brawl can be combo worthy if you know how to exploit dodge recovery times... Well... Not as much. The only reason why I prefer Brawl over Melee is not really the gameplay, because I think they're the same, but the features that are offered in the game. Of course Melee is better than Brawl, in terms of combo potential that is, but come on. Brawl did have some awesome features, like an updated adventure mode, co-op mode in all of the Single Player modes, and an awesome Final Smash move. We can't just judge Brawl over combo potential, but how you can manipulate the dodge mechanic to deal big damage to your opponents, as seen in some parts of this video. I love Brawl for the way it is, just as much as I love Melee, Smash, and Smash Bros 4 for Wii U/3DS, and I think Melee players should accept it. It may not be what they want, but Brawl has similar gameplay aspects, just more trick & trap based mechanics, than the aggressiveness.
