I was on an army deployment when I heard Nipsey died, that hit me hard especially being overseas plus knowing all the good he did

Ill never EVER forget back in the day when Sean Bell got killed by the cops and The Game did a interview about how he was trying to do a new school rendition/remix of F Tha Police and whenever he reached out to several other well known prominent "hardcore gangsta" industry rappers in on the scene, he got ignored or alot of cold shoulders nobody jumped on board with it and he was so mad and disappointed that he actually cried right there on the street during the interview when talking about it. Thats when i knew he was a real deal solid guy for sure 💯

I only knew who he was while he was here, but never knew much of his music. Since his passing I've listened to so much of his material and get angry that I never knew his music sooner. He's literally my favorite artist to listen now. He inspired me to take a trip to LA and I was able to meet some of his people while out there.

I'm a 50-year-old white dude from the Irish Republic and been listening to Hip Hop/Rap most of my life. When Nip was murdered, I realized that regardless of where you're from or who you are, if you love Rap and you love Hip Hop then you could only feel a great sadness for his passing. I remember the murders of Pac and Biggie, but social media didn't exist then so you could only guess that people were deeply saddened at these pointless losses, but with Nip, the world went online and asked how this could've happened to such a good dude who helped his own community, and brought other communities closer through his collabs with Bloods. Nip had a good soul, and we need more of those in a fucked up world full of hate and division. RIP Nip. You live on through your music and the lessons you tried to teach.

I remember where i was when Nip died. I was working a 12 hr shift at New French Bakery. On my lunch break, i looked on YT and got the news that Nip passed away. All i seen in the comments was RiP Nipsey. I remember where i was when Xxxtentacion was shot and killed. I was working at a food joint called My Burger by the U. Life is cray. Don't matter if your famous or a regular person. We all will die. But I do overstand wat Game is talking about. When I seen RiP before nips name, it didn't sit rite, first thing i said was WTF!? It's like we're in a parallel universe where Nip is supposed to still be here, making music, doing business shit and living life 'till he's an old man, watching his kids grow up.
