To try Smite in 2024 is quite a pointless feat in my honest opinion. As someone who's played the game for 11 years, I don't think I could ever recommend it to anybody past the year of 2019 (as a new moba player). #smite #summit1g #moba
I mean he’s not wrong that solo lane in particular is boring. It’s like “oh wow I can’t wait to tickle the other tank in lane so I can maybe get an early pick in which case the snowball will cause the other person to camp their tower or either of us eventually gets ganked depending on who gets the better jungler.” Repeat until late game
Yeahhh, to an extent. Tickling = poking, and if someone’s poked enough then a killing opportunity arises - but in general, yeah. You’re right about better players winning more often too.
Yeah, I wish there were systems in place to help the playerbase get better. There's a lot of bad players and it's because they don't know what to do, how to build and so on. However, I'm on the opposite spectrum, I'd like to say I'm high above average, but it'd be more fun if it was competitive or my teammates weren't bots
I think there is only so much Hi-rez can do for these players before the players have to start thinking critically to improve. Just because you're getting shit on, it doesn't mean that the game is bad. He literally missed so many abilities and knows barely anything about these characters and complains that the game is bad.
I want to get into smite but I'm also getting knowledge checked super hard. If someone does want to get in, what would you recommend as the path to get better?
Honestly, try to convince 2 IRL’s or internet friends to also begin super fresh. Hit the chill joust streets. Then before you know it smite 2 will be public and you’ll be able to transition your mechanics over into a game that doesn’t have as many knowledge checks.
Play lots of Arena. Lots and lots of Arena. Ive been playing for about 8 years and it’s so crucial for new players to understand basic mechanics before moving into other game modes. Learn what certain Gods do and more importantly, how they interact with other gods. Arena has tons of fighting and gold influx which means new players can learn gods and item building much quicker.
@@SharksInYaMouthI wish that was possible. Telling someone to try a game where they will get dunked on for the first 20-30 hours is a pretty hard sell. I'll try arena to feel out the different gods and then hopefully smite 2 will be a better experience
I'm not disagreeing with you on the audio, however I installed Predecessor a few days ago and the audio feedback on some of the characters I played was pretty sick. Steel is the one that stands out, so much punch to the hits. I told summit he needs to stop being soft and start being realistic. He wants to catch up 1000 hours in 2 days... I tried to reference Counter-Strike where I have 7k hours and Summit is familiar with. Back in the day CS had NO MM, you had to deal with getting shit on for a LONG TIME until you got good. Smite is not the game for instant gratification unfortunately. Not a new player friendly game at all, it's for grinders who like and can handle a challenge.
I think I may have mispoke in terms of the AA on minions. For example - Greystone vs King Arthur. When Arthur auto's the melee's, all 3 melee's will look as if they're hit. Greystone (Or any melee) - the main minion you hit doesn't seem to be hit + the cleave melee Champs have is just a random bonus. Similar to golden shard at the moment in smite.
When I watched I got to see his friends account level, it was around 120 ish if I remember correctly. It was a little painful to see the "teacher" not really teaching much and kinda of just doping around as aphro support. I have found that to get new people into smite they need a lot of attention and help. Getting them set up pre game with a build and a plan for how their god works is paramount. From what I watched no one did this with summit and summit himself didn't go through any genuine practice. Without any of that the stream devolved down into a lot of complaining and poor gameplay with no one willing to set it right. Its too bad for smite, summit being on board would help a lot with new eyes and players to the game.
To be fair, I think those levels carried over from a long time again and he was a returning player? So essentially also new to the game.. Might be wrong though. I’ve taught some friends how to play, but they were league players which made the transition easy.
Not enough new players, creates horrible experience for new players. They don't have a path to become good. In order to improve and have fun while improving is to play against competition with same skill level as you. This way it's just frustration building up because you are getting shit on by either smurfs or slightly more experienced player, and then what happens is these random excuses like basic attacks suck, minions are op, why do i lose 80 % of my hp as soon as i come to lane ( they all want to continue playing smite and kinda like it, but how do you continue getting shit on every game ). Also start in smite is the most important thing, where if you fall behind in the first minutes, you will have 0 fun in lane, and Hirez gives him shield on level 1 ....
Yeah 12 years into a game it’ll be hard to catch up, even if everyone was new, like EVERYONE. 500+ abilities in the game is still an insane amount of things to remember
This isn’t really normal new player experience though, every big streamer gets turbo sniped by losers on smurfs who don’t get attention irl, and he was laning against someone with over 3k hours of game time. If you just normal q up as a new player you’ll only vs people also below level 30 and the chances of you getting smurfed on are significantly lower than when you’re streaming to 10k. Regardless, yeah hi rez leveling the 2 first is troll af lmao
Yeah that entire stream snipe thing is going to follow anyone with an audience to EVERY game they play right, so that sucks irrespectively. But if that Kuzen is a 3k hours played player I'll swallow my hat whole. @@Kyydon
what is good in smite is you wave clear fast so you can fight and rotate !!! last hit is so boring. go back to boring last hit and point and clic game xxxdddddd. He is right solo lane is like that boring lane like other moba. watching him play and complain hurt me .... he don't try to learn he just cry in ciiiiiiirrrrcle
This man banning everyone trying to help him is hilarious. To act like he knows better than the individuals trying to help him, and just raging at every little thing is so off putting. I understand getting frustrated, but at the age of 30 fucking 7 the man should not be banning people for stating that he doesnt know what hes doing. How do you have an ego in/about a game you know next to nothing about? Ive never been golfing in my life, and i would not be raging if i did poorly, and people told me how I was doing things wrong, or saying shit like "Well you kick the ball in football and its dumb that you just hit the golf ball with a club!" Its fine to not like a game, but to shit on it, despite not even understanding it is a bit much
Whilst it isn’t odd to have frustrations with games, I did find it odd that he was airing moba irritants.. without being a mona purist. It’s like me at the moment, I’m playing some R6, and I hate it - for 100+ reasons but I don’t know shit about the game so even hate I currently have for it probably has an easy solution that I just don’t know about.
This video is hard to watch. Poor summit. And player skill has nothing to do with how long conquest takes. It’s designed to take that long to finish a game. A bad player can delay a game just as much as good player can. I mean most games are delayed until 40 mins because of how easy tower defense is. Pair that with anti snowball mechanics and you get games like worlds where the best players are taking an hour to finish
Yeah the constant comeback mechanics that have been added are not very fun. I would rather lose in 25m to a team snowballing, then having this weird pseudo gambling 50/50 game when behind. Only argument I have is that Smite players will never split a siege, or even when people are diving birds, people aren't hitting birds - in siege vaccuum, we're the league equivalent of Iron, even in diamond + lobbies.
this was painful to watch XD yes you cant kill a tank duh....yes you dont kill for shit when building full tank duh, and yes you died alot cause you were inting alone on the whole team trying to kill the kuzen and not doing what a solo does best and thats harass the backline
“Knowledge checks” are wack lol the fact you can only play the one game mode that is complex and has depth ONE WAY is odd to me. There’s no skill. Everyone plays the exact same way. That’s boring. Why have so many good and such a big map when the same position does the same thing every time. It’s just a race to snowball the other team . It’s a weird kind grind to level up first. Where’s the skill that doesn’t involve hiding and running (timing)
