As an artist myself, i share your sentiment, it can be tiring following the death of creativity in the videogames industry, i tend to distant myself to other hobbies such as drawing or listening to music as a distraction. Nowadays, i'm finding enjoyment in replaying older titles and indie games.

i actually seriously respect how you are handling your youtube channel. i am a young guy who is learning game development in uni and has also played multiple instruments almost my whole life. and there's a lot of pressure put on people to hustle on youtube and basically focus on clout instead of just uploading honest, creative and thoughtful videos. i dont resonate with the "typical" youtubers in terms of personality, but i definitely resonate with you. your videos actually bring me a lot of hope for my own future with figuring out a path that works for me since i dont care about the youtube game, i'd rather have a meaningful life that's separate from a potential online hobby. i am loving the vibes here, and really look up to you.

Thanks for explaining the instrument you were playing. A cello banjo, huh? First time I've even heard of that one. I could tell it was a larger scale banjo in the thumbnail but wasn't sure exactly what was going on. I play a little, myself and always curious about new instruments. I think that's cool that you try to incorporate as much real instruments as you can into your gaming music.

I believe that video games are the most passionate form of art, congealing several mediums into one. As a consumer of said games, I find it so incredibly cathartic to hear someone involved with the industry is willing to address the issues of the industry on a public medium such as RU-vid. While I believe that talking about the problems is important I believe that talking about the positives is important as well. You sir, are not only an excellent developer, but an excellent critic as well. As a consumer, I thank you. Unrelated: If you choose to do so, I think it would be interesting if you were to talk about your favorite titles and hear a break down of them from a developers perspective.

Hey mate. I just wanted to say thank you for what you are doing. It's amazing to see someone fighting back against all this woke stuff in a calm, controlled well spoken and sensible way. There's loads I have to say but I wont fill up the comments section to much but there is one thing I'd like to say. I'm game developer too. I say game developer. I studied game design for three years but never managed to get into the industry. I'm currently making a game with a mate who got into the industry in his spare time but who knows if it will ever be finished. But anyway even while studying woke people rampent even then. The thing I wanted to add is how much wokism or what ever you want to call it actually hurts the people it claims to represent. i have Cerbral Palsey. It's not something I'm sensitive about. I joke about it, my friends joke about. If a friend calls me spastic or retard I don't care. Those words don't mean anything to me. My friends pick on me just like I pick on them. That may seem weird to some but that means they don't treat me like I'm special. They treat me the same as anyone else. I love that. But while studying anyone woke would treat me like I was this thing that needed protection. If anyone said one thing out of line, they'd swing like a hero to save the day. There is a certain hypocrisy there. They preach words like strong, brave, empowered. Yet I need there help at every turn appeariently. And whats worse, now my friends didn't know how to act around me because they will get attacked on my behalf. Wokism makes it look like all of this is women, gays, moniraties etc fault when most of them are agenst it too and see it for what it is. My partner is Filipino. I was talking to my niece and nephew one day and they were saying that they are always on the cover of their school magazine. Joking I was like "Oh, are you really smart or something?" They were like "Well you gotta wheel out the brown kids for diversity don't you..." All of this is supposed to be about inclusion but it's now just tokenism. Even my partner now everytime we watch almost anything with a female lead that's a girl boss, is like "strong female character," while rolling her eyes with me. She should be happy seeing more women in games and movies but it doesn't mean much when they're got good. All of this sux because having more women and minarties in lead rolls for things should be great. Most people are for it. But the makers refuse to put in the effort to make something good. Make something with awesome characters and a story that makes sense and people will yum that up. But at best all they want to make are work place education videos. And who has ever seen a good one of them??? So again thank you for everything you are doing. Hopfully it makes more people brave enough to calmly step up.

If people are upset and angry with you for telling the truth, you've done everything right. I will support you and your work. You are a valuable voice of reason. I think I speak for the majority of us gamers when I say that we all don't want to be constantly annoyed by wrong, strange or politically forced decisions made by game developers. The past has shown that the voice of gamers does not count for developers. But what counts is money. And if we want to be heard, we have to use the market power we have and vote with our wallets. Recent history has shown the market power players have when they reject games and content they don't want. I don't need to mention the names of the games, everyone knows them. When game developers decide to distribute content that is not representative, that only represents a minority and claims that this is what the majority want, we must speak out and show these developers that they are wrong. And if the result is that some developers go bankrupt because we don't buy their games, then that's the way it has to be. We don't need developers who, based on a political agenda, develop past the target group, develop past entertaining content and then tell us that they are inclusive, when in reality they exclude people and frame their opinions on content as racism and misogyny. We don't need developers who constantly insult us while they themselves work with companies that try to silence other people using fascist methods. The laws of the market are simple. Supply and demand! And anyone who wants to make money on a large scale but fundamentally excludes their own community has to live with being excluded from consumers' wallets. We have already won a few victories, but we must not stop being vigilant. We gamers are in the position of moral superiority and we have the authority to interpret. We want games without a political agenda that are fun and in which everyone can see themselves. The developers want our money. Who has more control?

As I have a hurricane pass over me, and watching the gaming news implode, THIS was an awesome change of pace. Again this is the only RU-vidr actually bringing the gamers together, vs just talking about the news, but actually taking our minds off of what is really happening. Love it.

I will feel betrayed if this cozy song isn't the music in the save point menu Now jokes aside, as a business manager and from my own experience i can relate a lot with your frustations. My father suffered throught the same problems during much of his time. It is frustating specially becaus ethis people missunderstand what is been tried to tell. Mainly what this is not about attacking them but giving them advice for the business divercity to grow and become more dinamic and in turn the industry to grow. They still see this as a "battle of the strong" rather than a need for the market to grow or die. My advice, is for you to seek help with a lawyer. If they are telling you this, then it is most likely they are decided and an a vindicative idiot only change their tone when their money is threatened. Thank you for that moment of peace. The Cello Banjo has a very interesting tone to it. The echo kinda feels like you're hearing it over the distance of a lake, with a sort of mellowing caused by the surface of the water, while the reverb kind of makes it sound like it's got an accompanying instrument while being played solo. I've never heard that kind of sound before and I feel enriched for having experienced it. Thank you again for that.

You just gained a sub, maybe it’s just my algorithm, but I have seen a lot more of these videos by smaller creators calling out the game industry for their BS. My one piece of advice is to avoid mentioning the review bombing, the internet isn’t kind to those who do that, regardless of how justified it is.

Don't worry about review bombing! gamers have got each other's back especially on a platform like Steam and we're the majority, remember! And so far almost every game that has been review bombed has been great advertising for games as long as the game was genuine and good. Look at Soulash 2 for example.

It's sad to look at what the games at the west offer to us right now especially with such high budgets, not heing spent wisely, so much so that you had to make these videos. Most of these, no doubt, are the leadership present in these projects, and them holding all the power to show it. Seeing the state of the industry right now, do you think you can make a video about being an independent game developer, and perhaps if you do have a good publisher, or you ARE a publisher yourself, what are the realities and hurdles you can face doing so? I ask because some people who may see these videos may in the future, after the spark you ignite within them, may be stepping in uncharted territory for most first time developers who haven't had an experience in such things.

I hope you release your next game as 'Review Bombing the game' where the game only unlocks as people review bomb the game, stick that knife in there. A review bomberman if you will if the kids remember that sort of thing.
