In this video we are going to take a look at the Cat s22 flip.. the worlds first gaming flip phone..? in todays video lets take a look at seeing what it can do. Here is the phone on Amazon: amzn.to/3qjowm2
I've been using my dumb phone for a while now, and I know that it's not about the smart features that help me cut back on screen time. It's about the screen size. No matter how smart your phone is, you'll still cut back on screen time if you use a small screen.
Randomly stumbled upon your video and immediately went to buy one for myself. Even though I have a Razr plus I wanted something more rugged for work and this definitely fits the bill. On top of that, my mate who was also watching at the time went ahead and bought one for his dad as a Christmas present. Legendary stuff!
Glad you stumbled across the video ! If you’re wanting something rugged.. this is a good option. And it runs that newer OS so you can still do some good stufff on it
I actually have this phone. There are two things I really don't like about it: my hands are pretty small and I constantly have to reposition my hand when using the numpad, and I dont like that I can't easily open and close it with one hand. I've loved everything else about it.
@@JustPutSomething if thats considered small..... you are literally saying your hand is around 15 cm.... I can use my Poco x3 pro with just One hand which is actually wider than that phone, isn't it? and My hand isn't even that big
oh man when I was a kid I remember grabbing the adult's phones and just playing with the mechanical moving parts, either flipphones or the sliding ones, cause mine wasn't neither a flipphone nor a slide phone, it was in fact pretty similar to modern phones but with Java ME instead of Android
I used to play Pokemon silver on a j2me phone in about 2007, there was a great site called pepperonity that had a ton of emulators working on java phones
I love phones like this. Like the modern versions of nokia 3310 with wifi connection and android. Makes you want to tinker its capabilities and try things
this is a phone i glad i have that i never knew i needed. its perfect for a user trying to break that addiction to social media hence the small screen. its like watching yt on it for example. it works but is very inconvenient and undesired.
would be the funniest looking phone if you put it in one of those smartphone controller mount kits just imagine holding an xbox controller with a sideways flip phone clipped to it
@@johnzoid74 Flip phones hold a special place in my heart, but I was more excited/annoyed that current $2k phones get destroyed by the slightest drop. But I guess making a durable phone leads to less sales. I hate when companies purposely make things shitty
been using it for about 2 months and ive actually gotten used to using my pc now rather than letting it waste away. very good phone, i have all my usual apps from my sual smartphone on there but i dont go to the cat all the time (if im on the go ill check it now and then say every 2-3 hours if im expecting a important update) usually though it just stays in my belt case and its fine
Just wait til you discover the S22's big brother, the Cat S62! Use the thermal imager to find the coldest beer in a refrigerator, a clog in the pipes, or leaks in insulation around your house! And the phone is big and heavy enough to be used as a melee weapon. (Although not advisable)
when I first buyed this phone from Philippines🇵🇭 (Amazon Philippines) my honest review to this phone is good and has a sleek design, I currently use it for gaming, I will give this phone a 1000/10
Your video just got recommended to me by RU-vid.... Lucky me... Hreat vodeo amd awesome flip phone.. hope you can film a Mobile Legend match feom start to end... I also want to know if it can play PS2 emulators... Thanks!
Not exactly. It does not have the RAM to handle Honkai Impact 3 without crashing, (I know because I used to play HI3 on a 2-3GB device), so its not much of a gaming device these days. But the form factor's great considering I do like smart flips and am bummed I don't see more beyond foldable screens and the old StrTrek.
It’s not a Dumb phone , it still tracks All your data and Eveything and knows your location and can spy on you like any iPhone or Android phone , it’s just a Smartphone with Small screen and a Button keypad for construction workers so they don’t break there iPhones
Emm, i currently own a flip phone, but its the samsung Z Flip 3, but i want this now. damn this phone is so cool, reminds me of the 2000's when i had a samsung flip phone @ I had a Philips DIga, Thats Was My First Phone By The Way
These phones should not be underestimated, there are brands like Xiaomi that make similar phones, and they are for work, even more so the CAT, and they are also useful for areas where as soon as they see you with a smartphone they steal it, I say this because I have an acquaintance who I bought it for that and it helped xdddd
its funny cause i literally have this phone laying in front of me right now, i use it as my important phone for like calls/text/messages and as a wifi hotspot for my other phone
had to leave my review. I bought the Cat s22 flip. such a nice phone. Ok, first the cons: -mediocre battery at best (but same as a normal smartphone, need to recharge after a day of heavy use) -top of the phone when open kind of has this sharp edge, hurts your hand a bit when holding for long periods -screen size means that when you get notifications on screen while using an app, its really annoying and stops your use of the app -a bit slow -bad for reading bad review right? WRONG. its the best dumb phone ever. people say its big and heavy, but to me its great. very solid but NOT heavy at all. love the general way its tough, never worry about a drop again. The phone serves its purposely for me so well. My iPad 6 is only wifi, so i need something to get calls and use web on the street, but want to cut down screen time and compulsive phone swiping. this does it so well. it's a JOY to use for 20 minutes, but use it for an house and its very annoying. perfect. Love the layout, keys feel GREAT. I use the touch screen keyboard, which is annoyingly small, but is ok. I read some to say get the T9 old keyboard app or something but its just like another 1-9 phone dial like old nokias, I don't want to type like that. Android go 11 is GREAT. I can literally use all the apps I need, but the phone doesn't promote meaningless use. perfect middle ground. I need to wire some money, DONE and can do effectively and easily, but not TOO easy that i'm on my phone looking at IG reels for 3 hours straight. Cannot recommend this phone enough for someone looking to break their screen addiction.
I got this last week and I was able to download all the apps I need but the bottom is too heavy for my hand. I love that it has android and it’s flip but i am a girl and it’s heavy 😞. I wish there were more options with flip phone factor
To be fair: The charge port being inaccessible to you is *GOOD THING* It's your punishment for biting your fingernails, and maybe it'll make you _STOP_
