The GANIVET Desk || Bedroom Vanity Desk 

The GANIVET Desk is a concept design I worked on while away in Barcelona on a chef knife course. I tried to design legs for a desk that would represent the blade of a knife, but instead of the legs themselves, I used the negative space on the inside of the legs to capture the blade shape. I named the design "Ganivet" as that is Catalan for Knife...
This piece is actually part of a bedroom suite for a client, and they wanted a vanity dsk with interest - they liked the concept design & we decided on Black Ash with contrasting drawer fronts of Zebrano paired - the Ash is painted with a traditional Milk Paint
I had a great time designing & making this desk for my clients, and it was a pleasure to deliver it to their home recently...look out for a couple more videos to complete this bedroom suite!
You may have noticed me using a mesuring gauge to accurately size my drawer bases - this is my own design & is available for purchase on my website now...they are made in monthly batches & have shipped to customers in the UK, US & Canada so far! Very thankful for the support!
