Kishore Mahbubani, distinguished fellow at the National University of Singapore's Asia Research Institute, discusses the war in Gaza and says there's "a gap between global public opinion and American public opinion."
The US thrives on lies. Its politicians lie, its media lies, to keep ignorant Amurikans believing lies for election time. Hu Amurika will always be great!!!
Read history and examine issues involved. Palestine was a name given by British in 1920 to territory now consisting of parts of Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Israel, Gaza, west bank. They declared that in it they will also constitute an Arab state and a Jewish state. In 1947 UN proposed a Partition plan which was accepted by the Jews but not by the Arabs. the Partition plan ,Muslim majority areas were for Arab state and Jewish majority areas plus Negev desert for state of Israel. Palestine as a State was first talked about by PLO in 1960s. In 1947 west Bank was absorbed by Jordan and Gaza by Egypt. Alphabet ''p'' doesn't exist in Arabic language, therefore, Palestine as a name could not have been Arabic!
Using facts they only know how to defend themselves from babies, children and women. They seem to run away or shoot people waving white flags. So bare in mind RU-vid is infiltrated by Mossad and the Israeli foreign ministry pay for spreading hasbara. If the truth hurts good I made my point.

America's image as a warmonger was never in doubt; only its claim that the USA represent itself as a positive force for transformation refers to America First.
@@davidwong5197Yet parent company Bytedance is 60 percent owned by Silicon Valley-linked capital firms. They will challenge it again before the US Supreme Court as in during the Trump days.
Kishore is just being Kishore. He was a diplomat in his earlier career. He lost a lot of credibility when he said he is a friend of Israel to start off the interview. It was unnecessary and pissed many viewers.
A lot of people are pissed off that they can't be friends with both Israel and Palestine. Leaving aside the idea that Palestine is probably the victim of a war crime, are some people so woke that they've forgotten that Israel helped to set up the SAF?
He used that to prove to others he’s giving very fair comments, and indeed Israel and Palestine are both our friends, what’s wrong with that? Sometimes we have friends who does the wrong thing, but they are still our friends
Everyone that speaks for Palestine are required to condemn Hamas first. He did not want to so he said that instead. I am your friend but let me tell you this.... He is a good diplomat.
Singaporean very tolerant, muslim, buddhist, christian, hindu and sikh live in peace, they understand what happen in Gaza, they have ear and eyes, stop gaza genocide.
Dented😂😂😂😂😂 the US is now UNITED STATES OF ISRAEL in everything but... we all thought israels goal was just to take over 🇵🇸 .... no the US... even the whole west....
We spend approximately $7,000 annually per taxpayer on military while demand or compel others, friends or foes, to do same. Outside of G7, we are fast losing the moral high ground around the world. Note: we just authorized another $1,300 per tax payer to Israel. Meanwhile, our national debt stands at $35T.
Where was the professor when the Palestinians were mudered, jailed, kicked off their land? He was able to close his eyes to all that, just because it was his friend that was committing those atrocities. W 6:24 ere the Palestinians justified in resisting 75 years of oppression and dispossession? October 7 did not happen in a vacuum.
I can't believe the host said "implicitly complicit", probably because he's a young person. The other person is in danger of losing his decades long earned credibility to 80% of the world.
Questions that contain the answer within themselves: "IMPLICITLY complicit" followed by: "to what extent is this INCREDIBLY damaging to President Biden and will it have an impact?"
Its a shame for Mahbubani to say he is " Friend of Israel ". There is no justification for butchering of children and women in Ghaza regardless of what religion those innocent victims followed. If this man wants to be part of that slaughtering then he lost the credibility of an independent expert on Geopolitics.
Very disappointed Kishore today with your comments, Israel is committing a genocide live on tv , not once did you utter these words to condemn the murderous and genocidal state
You are not a diplomat anymore Kishore.. you didn't need to kiss Israel's ass with the whole "I'm a friend of Israel and Israel has right to defend itself" disclaimer before you actually spoke the truth. I guess Kishore still has to sell books in USA and the West and be invited onto talk shows in the West. disappointing. There is a difference between being polite and ass kissing and protecting your own moneyed interests at the expense of Palestinian lives. Kishore as a public speaker has responsibility to speak the truth and call out Israel in the strongest terms possible in order to save Palestinian lives. If even one life is saved or even one child starves for one day less, then he should have done it.
Israel's legitimate rights? How a colonial project of occupation can have any legitimate right? How an illegitimate entity can have any legitimate right?
As per the Columbia Daily Spectator, the student newspaper of the university, on April 23, Columbia College passed a divestment referendum by a large margin. The referendum asked students whether the university should divest financially from Israel, cancel the Tel Aviv Global Center, and end Columbia's dual degree programme with the Tel Aviv University. The first question passed with 76.55% of voters in favour, while the latter two garnered 68.36% and 65.62% support, respectively.
SINGAPORE (Reuters) - The founding dean of a prominent Singapore school said on Monday he was stepping down, four months after he stirred a heated debate in the city-state with the comment that small countries like Singapore must "always behave like small states". Kishore Mahbubani, a long-time diplomat and the wealthy city-state's former envoy to the United Nations, said he had written to the board of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy saying he would step down as dean at the end of the year.
It not only dented the US public standing, it showed to the whole world, that the constant babbling of a rule based order by the US is nothing but hot air. I dont know if somebody in the US even took notice but within 1 month the US showed everyone that they no longer adhere to Common Law (suspend contracts unilaterally), International Law (by denying an attack on an embassy to be an act of war) and the UN Charta (by declaring a UN resolution as non binding). Add to that the constant braking of its promises and you realize that the US is simply not trustworthy anymore to every country on the planet. The US has followed Israel blindly into the world's garbage bin...
Stopping the war on terror and having the best interests for Israel is a total enigma and against America’s attitude towards their own position on what Israel has suffered. On their doorstep.
A lot of people seem to have tuned out as soon as Mahbubani said he was a "friend of Israel." But Mahbubani has been pointing out the enormous damage that Western/American hypocrisy on Palestine has done to the West for years. He is very conscious of the rights of the Palestinians and has talked about it in the past. He is just being diplomatic.
Those who know the issues regarding the history of all this are not shocked, as for America's image well it's been in the toilet for decades. How all the atrocities from Korea/Vietnam down to Afghanistan are quickly forgotten.
Kishore is compensated by Chinese entities for discreetly advocating on their behalf while disparaging the United States. His messaging necessitates vigilant scrutiny to discern its underlying intentions and implications.
This for the foreign viewers out there. It's ALWAYS either an election year or money and fund raising season for the next election in the US. So a lot of things will NEVER be done.
