They did Lauren so dirty. She really seems like she can do enough math to get by (she can add two numbers together, and she won the shopping challenge), but math anxiety is a real thing, so if you ask her out of the blue to do math in front of an audience that already thinks she's dumb, of course she's going to get flustered. I'm most of the way though a physics degree and if you asked me to add two not-nice numbers in front of an audience I'd probably stumble too. Her saying "I can't do it," followed by her trying to do, only to get confused by other people feeding her different numbers and give up made me so sad. Not that they didn't do the other girls dirty either as if making a mistake that cost you $125000 wouldn't lead to a similar complex about that mistake no matter what.

Scarlet was just straight-up an asshole after that. Richard annoying everyone didn't help, but girl literally went around the whole campsite to vent at every possible point and kept antagonizing him forever. Spouting the same point forever, which is literally the opposite of what the guy did - "give up". Was it pathetic how the boyscout specialist broke down from a light jog? Sure. Was it worthy of endless vitriol? No. I've seen kids power through actual heatstroke better than this grown man with barely a backpack and it's laughable that he tried to pull the "emergency room" card for what's essentially just severe stage fright/anxiety. I can kinda empathize with getting frustrated over that, but at some point she needed to let it go.

I looked up most of the cast online. Chuck did no other entertainment and is the director of a neurology research department. Richard ended up hosting multiple shows in South America it turns out he is fluent in Spanish.

i liked that none of the girls where bitchy with each other, for a 2000 show thats rare but nice to see and made it more enjoyable because they werent fighting and competing in a way tthat makes people look shady

I had a friend in the early 2000s named Chuck. Not the same guy. Probably the funniest thing he ever did was use a fake email to sign up for everything that was Chuck at Chuck dot Chuck.
