I bought one back in August. I'm 64 and it's the most comfortable stand I've ever used! I did a few mods on mine, changed the lineman's belt to an 11mm PMI EZ Bend rope which is stiffer, with a ropeman 1 instead of a prussic. I added a few more D rings to the side webs and made a few clips from Kydek for the shoulder straps to hold my rangefinder & Binocs. I also added 2 dump pouches to the sides for squirrel steps (Bullman platform steps) and I have a very small backpack that sits above the Hawk Helium steps which holds my water, knife, calls, scent, milkweed, rope for pulling up bow/gun, flashlight, phone, and whatever else I need. The best thing I've ever purchased for hunting! Great video! Thanks!

@@averageoutdoorsman9342 I do use a foot climber that is comparable in weight and have for years. The jx3 offers two things that the foot climber can't. First is the challenge of learning a new system, that's fun for me and it allows me to preset sticks not leaving my stand to nature's wear. The most important thing is the ability to shoot 360 with ease with stability, not to mention the comfort factor , as comfortable as my summit viper.

Great breakdown. I just got a JX3 and have been impressed with it so far. I think a lot of people are chasing ounces and overlook the JX3 because of the weight. But it carries well. I just got a Doyle's Gear Hoist for mine to leave attached so that I always have a hoist with it. I like that it's a complete system. You really just need a climbing method and your weapon and you're ready to hunt. You don't even really need a climbing method honestly. You could just hook it onto a tree and use it at ground level if you wanted to.

I'm sorry but I have to point out how deceptive this is. This guy is supposed to be showing this saddle and how it works but yet they INTENTIONALLY clip the video below his knees because all this mobility is only possible because he has something to push off of. Newton's 3rd law of motion. Why didn't he do a video showing him fully hanging and try to do what he is doig here. Really, really sneaky what he did here. If you have a good grasp of physics, you will know this easy motion he is showing is not achievable with just a tiny platform in front of him. Here, he has access to a 360 platform, the ground, from which to push off of. And the tree fork, be very afraid friends. That is primed to take out big chunks of flesh, possibly a femoral artery which would almost certainly be a death sentence in the woods. I don't care if you are a fanboy of some product, just be honest and show it for what it is. These little details that most people will miss are very important! The devil is in the details and this was deliberately shot to conceal him using his feet to push off the ground and to reduce the tension on the line to allow him to easily move about. Very, very deceptive this video is.
@platinumpursuitoutdoors
@platinumpursuitoutdoors 7 месяцев назад
My friend I have a completely different video demonstrating HOW to shoot from this JX3. Please inform yourself of all my videos bf coming on and making accusations 🤷‍♂️. In fact I have an entire playlist dedicated to this. Also… if you paid attn to the tree fork section you would have understanding that you can pivot with ease on the tree fork. Merciful heavens man… please inform yourself.
@vangmountain
@vangmountain 7 месяцев назад
@platinumpursuitoutdoors I do admit I have not seen any of your other videos. That you are 100% correct. I do not deny that. And if in those videos you show movement is as easy as this is with the help of a 360 degree platform then I stand 100% corrected. If your videos prove me wrong that movement with just a tiny platform facing the sane direction as your anchor line then would wholeheartedly apologize to you because I'd be 100% wrong in my assessment. However, physics tells me that without a 360 platfor to reduce tension ine the line harness makes it super hard to move around the tree because your weight applies a tension force on the line. As you go around, the tension in the line pulls hard on you wanting to bring you back to that stable equilibrium point. My question to you is, and that was the point of my comment. Did you or did you not intentioally clip the video or shot it high to conceal the fact that you were using the ground to push you about? You and I both now, without something to push against to oppose the torque of the tension line, you will be spun back to the equilibrium point. I can say this because I SRT recreationally. It's not easy as you demostrate here without a support. So, can you say whethee this was unintentional or intentional. I say intentional because it was too perfectly trimmed off to not be. It was either deliberately shot high to conceal the ground or to conceal the use of the ground. Is this the case or not? You can be honest about it. I've owned up to the fact thar you are absolutely right, I've not seen anothee of your videos, but that fact is irrelevant. My critique was precisely about the apparent attempt of this video to conceal the use of a 360 platform. Is my assumption totally wrong or not. I am man enough to take your word for it. If you say it was not intentional, then I owe you an apology. So it's that simple. Was concealing the use of the ground intentional or not on your part. It's just a simple yes or no question. I could be totally offbase and if I am, I have no issues apologizing to you but make no mistake, it is oddly coincidental that this video is shot from the knees up. Why? Edit: I have now seen you video of how to shoot and in it, you proved my point which is, this video belies the truth about how easy it is to move about. You moved effotlessly in this video due to your feet being on the ground. Without the solid 360 degree platform, it is not that easy even with your ring support. That being said, I think my comment is spot on about the fact that this video makes it look easier than what it actually is. Why you didn't show you walking about on the ground, only you can say. As to the tree fork, yes it allows you to rotate about that point and nothing more. It will actually inhibit movement(translational) from that point if you do not disengage it so no, it is not much of a movement device aside from rotational movement. To translate, you must push off a platform of sort and yoy must disengage the tree fork as you did in your shooting video.

@@vangmountain My original video was to give an introduction break down of the saddle and then further more break down the rest of the ENTIRE system in future videos! You are the ONLY person who has ever questioned my motifs not just on this video but ALL of my videos. To me say says a lot about you. Out of 20.1k views, 336 likes and 134 comments your the only one to question my motifs 🤷‍♂️. If I am doing close ups… it’s to get great video quality and focus on what needs to be focused on! Also, it helps me run a lower aperture and keep the background blurred. There are times the wider the view in the daylight the harder my auto focus runs and you will see the focus shifting in and out. SO, I bring the camera in as much as I can in these situations. The beginning of my original video I stated I am starting an entire playlist dedicated to the JX3 knowing there I was creating a video about how to shoot out of it. SO there is no need to show that in the first video. My second video show EVERYTHING that need to be shown. No hidden motifs here. But thx for watching and good luck!
@vangmountain
@vangmountain 7 месяцев назад
@@platinumpursuitoutdoors Let's be clear about something. I questioned your motives on this video and no other. And yes, I did question your motive on this video because what you state isn't true. The amount of movement you made with ease simply cannot be done with ease on a singular platform, which is typical of saddle hunters. Physics just doesn't allow for it. In your shooting video, you were able to move about thanks to your ring of steps, but it was not effortless. In this presentation you made it way too effortless to do so and whether it was your intent to embellish or not and whether it was your intent to conceal the use of the ground or not, only you know the answer to that. As to why I questioned it out of the thousands of viewers who did not, the primary reason is I'm not looking to be sold on a product. In other words, I'm not looking for a saddle system. I viewed you video out of curiosity whereas others maybe had their eyes on this product and were looking for affirmation. They wanted to be told what they wated to hear. I had zero biases. I was just curious so I had nothing lose which allowed me to view it objectively. This allows me to take what you say and scrutinize it without bias which is what I said. The fact is you cannot dispute my conclusions which are based on sound physics and my personal experience with SRT. It is hard to move about with ease on this or any saddle systen without supports to resist the forces of tension on the rope to allow one to do so. Knowing this, it makes me very skeptical of anyone who claims there is a system that by its design makes it easy. To make mobiliy easy, physics dictates that the tension force must have zero lateral components. In other words, the support line must somehow be able rotate with the shooter like a lanyard for an arborist. With only a lanyard to support, there are zero lateral forces trying to move you left or right. The second component to being able to move with ease like in this video is the presence of a 360 degree platform. This was all I was pointing out. I have nothing against you or your channel. I wish it the best and I hope you continued success. If anything you should take from my critique, it's that words matter. Your credibility matters. Choose your words wisely. Be careful how you choose to present your videos because you have a brand you've worked hard to bring to life. It's easy to get caught up in the moment and say things that may stray a bit from the truth. We are our worst enemy. Before you know it, you have a credibility issue. What then? Your brand now has a credibiity issue. I knew nothing of this channel before seeing this video. Instantly, it painted a bad impression on me. Sure, you can just brush me off as some guy whi just has an ax to grind or you can dig deep and ask yourself if maybe there is something to learn from my criticism. That's for you to decide. Again, I have nothing against you or your channel and I genuinely hope you find a lot of success with it. Just remember, just because no one critiques us doesn't mean we are perfect. Critiques that we receive are the very things that helps us to smooth out our rough edges. Even your critique of me tells me I too need to turn inward and ask myself if I could have done a better job of communicating with you. We learn everyday friend. I mean no harm and I wish you and your channel the best. Cheer!!

@vangmountain since this video was done one year ago I just went back to look at what you were talking about. I believe I found the section you’re referring to. When I said I was utilizing the 4 Bullman ring of steps That was in conjunction with the latitude X-Wing platform that I had at the base of my telephone pole just because you could not see it in the picture doesn’t mean it wasn’t there and if you watch as I navigate around the tree, you can actually see me pushing off the X wing as I’m getting onto the Bullman ring of steps. I even said I was utilizing them. My comment you can navigate with ease still stands. Just as you would any other saddle. Just as you could get around the tree with a regular saddle thus you can with the JX3. This is a QUICK REFERENCE VIDEO. For all the reasons Ive already stated I film close up. No sleight-of-hand going on here. Just go back and look at your original comment. It was not critique. It was accusation. Choose your words carefully because people reading them… what you said above. Generally RU-vidrs would block or wouldn’t give you comment the time of day but if you notice on all my videos I try to respond and help people out. If you have a genuine question, I can help out. If not, good luck to you. My suggestion is watch the video where I’m actually up top of the tree shooting at all different angles if you want the most realistic Hunting situation. As stated before the first video was a quick reference video with no bow in hand. But the second video shows it all. But please come if there’s a question or concern just ask the question, rather than make accusations. “This video is very deceptive, this guy is deceptive, very very deceptive this video is” your entire first comment was accusations had nothing to do with critique.
