Stopping the drift is vital - Mission focus and Mision action! I hope to see a mission centered legacy in my lifetime. I applaud the message as it is important that the "drift" has been acknowledged. I look forward to seeing action and revival as the TSA gets back to the mission and identity (as innovative, intentional, messengers of God's saving and transforming grace)!
I shared this message from our leader in our staff meeting today. As the Mission Leader I acknowledge that mission drift is real. This inspirational message went down extremely well. Those who don't profess to having a relationship with Jesus saw, and can see the passion that we carry, is the same passion that they carry. It was a great springboard for opening up further questions, whilst giving us permission to investigate new ways of working for our people, across the board. I continue to ask God for guidance in how to do mission in this world that we now live. This is a timely Spirit driven message. So from your home territory General : "Kia haere tonu te Atua ki te ārahi i a koe i o koutou ara katoa." May God continue to guide you in all your ways
People, Mission and legacy… I’m a person, I am clear about the mission, understood who I am and inspired by the mission and was keen to play my part in the mission that mattered and made a difference. I was accomplishing the mission and understood what it meant to be the mission of God on the planet. But I was betrayed, blatantly disregarded and my call for assistance from You Lyndon was ignored. Your words are lovely, but unfortunately you and the organisation can offer nothing more than words. Don’t talk about giving permission to people, the organisation does not have any capacity to empower or let any of our spiritual family use initiative unless it’s controlled top down so the leaders get credit. I am your legacy General. Thank you for thrusting me out into the mission field and creating a brand new wine skin that can handle the spirit of Gods lead. The old wine skin burst and the new is so revolutional, innovative, flexible and absolutely magical with the evidence of the fruit and gifts of the Spirit. You can keep your framework, pious platitudes, sweet prayers, your groups and clever initiatives. I am following Jesus. Take care.
Totally agree with you this lip service has been going on for years now there is only control there no need for a general or higher ranks the stand out of this is little or both said about prayer don’t think I heard anything about Holy Spirit and Jesus is just thrown in this is a motivational speech no a call to Jesus stay strong hold to Jesus keep doing the Work of the Lord God Bless
Wise & true words; shame it's a few years too late! (I left the Army & went to another Church after Covid, in response to genuine leading from the Lord that I could use my gifts & fulfil the parts of my Officer's Covenant that I made with God better there. I was a soldier for about 45 years.)
@@ishanshashak6277 aww thanks, that's sweet of you! I still go to the Army sometimes, & practise with the singing group, but as I'm now fully occupied with Chaplaincy & Choir at the Cathedral, & organist at a Church, i can only go in school hols., if Choir isn't singing. (I used to be a Songster, Songster/Corps pianist, & was a Lieutenant for a few yrs. - Proclaimers of Salvation, 1978-80.) May God bless you!
I know, these comments are visible to the world so using common phrases makes sense. I also would talk about making a donation, not firing a cartridge for example :) @@cakehole53
