GIVE THIS MAN HIS FLOWERS! This video makes me want to bawl like a child. Especially the look on Ryan Gosling’s face when he said Ben is like a human ice cream truck.
Ben's looks so happy and I'm so happy for him to make it in Hollywood because us Aussies we know he's great talant. I love seeing Aussies make big in anything I just love Australia and I'm not ashamed to love Australia. I go to another country and I have to say I get this sad feeling as I remember my life and my youth in Australia and it's something all people from all countries know ,that yr home and yr culture is deep inside. I love coming home so much. I used to as a young man think Australia was crap but it's awesome. We don't need to pretend to be American we just be Aussies and where ever IV been people love Aussies it's so weird. But I love my home Sydney Australia I was born there and gre up living Sydney so much. Back in the 90s Sydney was amazing
I have been watching "Bloodline" and I went from feeling bad for Danny to wanting to cut his fucking throat. That my friends is the essense of acting a purity to transform ones attachment to character. Hot to cold. Great series and a great actor. I have become fan of his.
I love to see Australia's doing so well as an Australian myself IV grown up with Ben in Aussie films and one film that I remember so well is oh shit I can't remember it's name but it's about cars but that's a simbolic representative of men and the dangerous darkness in men. It had one of the most intense car chases IV seen because I know it was filmed like road worrior real and fast. Metal skin maybe is the title. I know so many films but not names but the contents are deep. I think it was directed by the man that did damm I can't remember the skin head film with russul crow I believe it was same director. And the in metal skin the main character with the father he is not Australian but Canadian born I believe but he's a great actor as well. That film is in the genre of greats like taxi driver but obviously it's nothing as good as taxi driver. Alas it's still a great film I can still hear that car omg it was intense in a movie theatre it was like a NASCAR and he used it as a weapon now I just want to see that film again god I'm 43 and I remember when it came out I saw it 4 times. I love to see Aussie films that are Aussie and not American culture. Of course we have a similar culture but I love the difference. And animal kingdom was a perfect example of Australia in the arts and Ben Mendelson IV seen him on tv since the 80s and I'm so proud of him for success in he later years with is really hard to do in Hollywood god. It must be true that he is a very talented man. I wish there was more investment in Australian art and film and the humanities because the world needs now especially a voice that cuts through and shows us the truth that's hard to really understand because of so much media garbage. America is now in a very dark place it's cancel culture woke culture that's stifiling free speach and arts are afraid to say anything because you can't say anything without being cancelled this to me is obhorant. Free speach is the bedrock of a vibrant democracy yet woke culture is destroying the arts. I'm not on the right remember that I'm left and I believe the left has gone way to far. And in time history will look back on these times as like a dark age.
@@mendoappreciation8575 ,Ben, if this is the real you?! Do you recall around 2005 being picked up by a 🚌 in Old South Head Road Bondi, New South Wales on a ☔ day? The bus was legally overloaded, but feeling sorry for this last lone passenger in the rain and knowing many passengers were about to get off starting at the next stop, I decided to stop for you! As you lifted your face, I nearly wet myself, because here right in front of me was one of my most favourite performers, because Ben is far more than an actor!! Anyway, I explained to you that you were one of my favourites and that I was just sorting out my holidays in order to take up a 3 week introductory acting course near Central Station and with that, you turned away, as if to be busy writing on a Script or something, turned back and handed me a piece of paper! I asked what it was, as I was busy driving and couldn't stop to read it? You then said, "that's my Manager's number, tell him I told you to call him"!! That was the act of a generous and kind person. I did go on to do some "camera" work with Sonja Tallis, around 2015.
