@@Billmull8622 For ART! Didn't you watch the video and all the other "clever" art idea videos? Next, I'm gluing a ring doorbell on my forehead and sit out on my front porch and watch who comes to steal the pretty packages I made to decorate my porch. (neighbors are SO impressed!)
Truth. Im still wondering why "made in china" junk is even allowed to be imported into the U.S. It's a never ending supply to our landfills because it's cheaply made and usually doesn't last through one good use.
Oh yeah I'm sure the suction on that dollar store plunger will stand the test of time! It looks way better than a normal lighting fixture and you'll be the envy of all your friend.
@@Bryan-L Are y'all forgetting these people probably live in a apartment or house that isn't renter friendly? Sure if looks stupid and is but come on. Also of course they aren't gonna be some highly skilled achievement because most are just for storage and decorations. 💀 Also people often change their decor preferences, and nothing wrong with that it's normal so of course it's not going to last long anyways.
Why not? In case your toilet clogs and you can't find your plunger you can grab the spare one right off the wall and unclog the toilet with it and then just hang it right back up again LOL
This the type of comment I'd expect from someone who doesnt look at their comment before hitting send. 🥱 Learn to PUT WORDS IN A SENTENCE before talking about someone else you dingle berry.
A lot of these ideas are really cute. I dont know how many of them would hold up over time. This could be a great option for someone who really likes interior design but maybe just can't afford what they'd really like. or the person who is constantly redecorating.
These are creative but often if you add up the cost of the supplies they actually cost more than buying a pre-made boughten version. Also, there is the cost of the tools to assemble let alone the time it takes to assemble something vs. searching online for the finished item to buy. Time is money too.
Yes, time is money, but some people take on the projects because they enjoy doing it. I have a closet reserved for items I catch on sale and save them. Over time you build a collection of things for projects. I saw a lot of things in this video I can improvise with and things I already have as decor. The tools pay for themselves.
@@AnnaH4R Yes, I agree. I have a very wide range of crafts that I've done and I tend to pick hobbies and crafts based on enjoying the process of making or doing them compared to the quality of the finished product. I was thinking how I grew up lower income with the idea of trying to save money by making it myself where as my husband didn't and he taught me to value my time and look at the total cost. Most crafts unless of high enough level to require skill vs. practice are done for the enjoyment.
@@sarahbernath my husband and I both grew up in low income families. Fortunately, he enjoys working with his hands and has a collection of tool for me to use. He also likes helping me do big projects and it's nice to spend that time together making a vision come to life. However, there are certain items I fall in love with when I see them and will just buy, rather than diy. It's all up to the person and project, but I understand where you are coming from. I hope you don't think I was being disagreeable. I just wanted to share my perspective, because I find doing diys very satisfying and worth the time.
8 years ago i bought dollar glass picture frames from dollar store. I cut holes into garage door and used the trim and glass as windows. I then sealed and painted trim . It still stands 8years on. Best 6 bux i spent.
Never in my life while plunging a clog did I stop & say, “You know what…that’ll make a heck of a golden sconce with a candle in it.” I need to be more creative & eat healthier. 🙂👍🏻
My favorite's were the dented copper looking container, the little mini greenhouses with the glass frames and the little nine box drawer cabinet for a table or wall decoration. Good for keys and doo hickeys. Actually two of the little trays were nice. The tray with the frame with the dowels lined up as a bottom for the tray and the brass cabinet handles it also had wooden knobs in the bottom for a base, also, the pizza pie tray with the soft rope swirled on the bottom and the rope wrapped chain rim was nice too. Even though some of the stuff is junk like the plunger 🪠 sconces and the garden basket with the fancy little edging plastic thingies looked cool but you just don't need something like that cluttering up.
I don't Subscribe to videos. I just watch them and then move on. Well, you stopped me in my tracks and I subscribed and can't wait to watch it when I'm fully awake!! Thank you!!! ...Rocket
Yes my husband takes them and a block of wood drills a hole in the block and turns the plunger up side down and makes drink holders out of them some of them are pretty cool looking. He made one that looks like a travel trailer for a friend
Wow 😮 I have never seen so many clever uses for a toilet plunger. There are several that once finished you can’t even tell that it used to be a toilet plunger. Amazing 😉
I wonder how they fix it to the wall? I’m sure suctioning it won’t work🤣. I really like a lot of these crafts.I honestly don’t think I have the skills,
These are all so amazing ❤ I hope in future videos you will reveal the final product for at least 5 seconds 😊 we don’t have time to even take a screen shot of them and they are sooo adorable!
hit the three dots on the top right of the video. different options will pop up. one will say playback speed. you can make the video play slower and then you can stop the playback where you want to get a screenshot
If you're a painter and paint at an easel, they're good to use the wooden stick as an arm/hand rest. $1 vs $10+ at an art store for a special made one that is still essentially a wooden stick.
I wish o could give this video a hundred thumbs up. I love every single one of these crafts and would be proud to display them in my home! Awesome ideas!
And now that Dollar Tree has raised its prices, they are even less of a good value. Dollar Tree has put itself out of business .... I don't think they can compete with Dollar Family and Dollar General stores any more.
@@daisydukes8252 why? they all carry the same assortment of cheap Chinese rubbish? The price is the only thing that sets them all apart. Wally-Mart isn't too far behind either.... just another store full of cheap Chinese rubbish
Plunger one is hard to believe, but lets be honest some of the "table art" and vase things are definitely in style at your local Target and you are buying them. And one was literally made out of a jenga set, and seemed like the kind of decor piece that might be in a model home. Nobody said these DIY versions were durable furniture. I'd say not all work, but a few at glance seem pretty great as little project to spruce up a small space in your living area with that rustic Magnolia, Home&Hearth, Chip and Joanna style that all the weekend warrior DIY fiends are craving and it does it on a budget...
I'm not sure I'd use any of the items made here, or even utilize the supplies used to make them. However, what I love about this is the creative mindset of repurposing at work. Even if these projects seem wasteful to some, they they are good practice in training the mind to see ordinary objects in a creative way - i.e. thinking outside of the box - which is a skill that can come in handy with bigger projects or even life in general.
Bought some those items before, the small wood boxes near the start i have a few of, actually a good idea using them like that.. Wouldnt waste a pizza pan though.
So, everyone, everywhere, should just stop pursuing activities they enjoy because it will eventually end up in the garbage? Art, sports, leisure? That's a major part of the economy.
