Great video, very informative ❣️ Great book too. Love a good plant challenge as far as growing, but I’ve never grafted anything like you. Your collection is over the top. I need to eliminate my family to take over house for more plants,,lol
I love these plants. I recently acquired two of my most sought-after S. Russelliana variants, "Small Ehler's Clone" which has extremely tiny clades, smaller than this video, and "Ashfield" which also has very small clades. I have them both grafted and in a specialized grow tent because they are quite sensitive. I would love to see an update video on these guys!
Is there a purple true xmas cactus? I've seen a few pics on rare occasion but just wanna confirm/find an ID if it is. A few images looked like dark purple, wish I had saved them. I have the magenta and red tipped one and just curious if there's any others.
@@nikolaybondarev7407 my nemesis 🤣 I have a few videos on that plant. It is the most difficult plant I’ve ever tried to grow but I think I have it figured out now with the hydroton or geolite wicking system. Try setting up an alert on eBay as it comes up on there from time to time as it is one of the easier species to find, sometimes you can find it at an extremely fair price too.
Hi Daniel, there is a seller on eBay in the states that sells during the warmer seasons. You can also join some Schlumbergera buy trade sell groups on Facebook and ask if anyone has some cuttings available. 💚🌱
I believe I have one of the schlumbergera opuntioides I thought it was a brittle prickly pear but mine isnt round its flatter and mine have shorter thorns more of them but shorter 2 segments hourglsss shape is there anywere to post a picture if you confirm this is it then the long mystery novel of finding the breed will be over please🙏
"red mottling appears" DO any of your videos have examples? My 6 month old growth has suddenly shown some red edges and streaking. My search on the internets hasn't pulled up anything similar yet. (RU-vid suggested I watch this one again. So why not!) ♥
Sold to me as 2 starter cuttings of Ric Rac Cactus with red flower. All the keywords fishbone, zigzag included (so who knows :)) I later asked which scientific name it went by/ replied Selenicereus anthonyanus. I bought from CT seller thinking conditions would be more similar to ME than CA.
My oxypetalum put out a huge tall stick...its almost up to the ceiling! It started to put out a leaf at the top and then yesterday it started browning and shriveling...any idea what I did wrong?!
Hi Amy! I would need to see pictures of the plant and it’s surroundings to try to help figure out what happened. Feel free to send me pictures at epiphyticcacti@gmail.com!
