@thebestdiscointown This was my local pub for years. |I lived 4 doors down from it. I had some great times there. I know you have dedicated this video to the great Barry Reynolds but he was a horrible rude man. Couldnt stand him. Barbara on the other hand was lovely. A true landlady. Brings back memories tho even tho I no longer live in the town.

I lived above the Hardware shop in the Denes for a few years and knew the pub well. Sad that it has gone. Suppose it will have made way for yet more flats!! This has been posted as a link on Facebook group.. "Hemel Hempstead Remembered" a couple of times now. Great bit of nostalgic film and plenty of faces to remember. If you are from Hemel or still live there, come along and say Hi..

Used to sell newspapers there on a Saturday night (Evening News football results edition)1960 cycled around all in area to earn a few bob (3 Shillings & 7 Pence / quire). I used to get half the price / paper. Now live in Australia. Would start in Two Waters Up Barnacres to Bennets End then on to Adeyfield then back to Two Waters

Not sure when the last time you returned to Hemel was, but I suspect the state of the place would bring tears to your eyes. What a dump.

@@ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293 never actuall had a drink there last back in Hemel 1996 yes a mess and now they are knocking all the good places down i.e. Pavilion.
