Neil! Love this, quick q tho: after head post, when my leg is on his head, am I still pinching his head with my (left) forearm? Also, I fear my leg slides off his crown; any suggestions? My thanks for the great choke!
Great explanation and that's a nice entrance. But it's a Peruvian necktie. He's just getting it if the japenese necktie isn't secure. Still a great video though
I don't mean to be a squeaky wheel but this looks just like a Peruvian necktie. I don't think its a brand new move i could be wrong and if I am please explain the difference to me but I dont see a difference between the two moves here.
it´s very similar but I see 2 major differences: 1. It´s upside down 2. Peruvian has one leg over the back and one over the head. German necktie has one over the head and one still in half guard (so under his leg). So it´s the same mechanic but you use a different hook
Brian J Malmsteen Peruvian necktie is setup from a failed anaconda choke. regardless, it's a leg over the head and leg over the back. executed like a deadlift. I can't speak of much to the Japanese necktie, but it is usually setup off a failed d'arce. though, I've never seen it from half.
SpaceCityBeats thanks! I really need to look into it and add it to my arsenal. Had a fight scheduled for June 17, now out with shoulder injury. Why do we get more injuries from BJJ than kickboxing!? Lol.
