The amount of research you've done - across so many periods - is incredible. Many of us have a niche area of semi-expertise, but the breadth of your knowledge and work is astounding! So impressive!

Thanks Martin. Being a history teacher helps as I found all periods of military history equally funny to study and model.

I hope you read this comment. My father was a professional model painter in the 80's, he painted for numerous modelling shops in the southwest of England 🇬🇧. He was so good that I will never forget it. I love modelling and am not to bad myself. I loved your vid.

We share the same past more or less. My father had the Fine Arts degree from Porto and was also an amateur Train and car modeller but also a professional art painter. I think I took from him many ways how to paint my wargame armies and that helped me to paint quickly and to reasonable standards.

@@joaopeixoto5249 I went on to paint warhammer, but went back to ww1-ww2 models.

Thanks. Took me quite a lot of time to build all this among many other wargaming projects. But only the more recent information made things more clear.

Amazing collection yet again! What scale of buildings do you use for 1/72 models?
@joaopeixoto5249
@joaopeixoto5249 Год назад
Thanks. The building on the table -the Mortain-le Neufbourg train station - is HO scale but generally I make my buildings around 1/100 scale with openings in 1/72 scale aproximately.

Its the Mortain - le Neufbourg train station. Its a HO plastic model converted according to the filming in the WW2 TV two episodes about Mortain.

Thanks. They are mostly plastic kits bought in toy shops a bit all over Portugal with others being ordered from the UK in resin or metal.

@@joaopeixoto5249 thanks for the reply, it's amazing how many miniatures you have. I've always been a fan of resin, do you know the company names?

@@shawnclarke9414 In resin the ones I use are: Frontline wargaming; Raventhorpe and Millicast (based in the UK). But if you google " 1/72 resin tank models" or " 20mm resin tank models" plenty more will show up.
