Dark Horse Songtext True dedication most just do not posses. When push becomes shove, can you rise above the rest? Waves of words, they fall short and crash at my feet. Such are the ways of the weak. "I'm not scared!" It's all that I know. Done nothing but travel without knowing where to go. I've been digging up bones. Remnants of what made up me that I've never shown. This is my time to rise. Dark horse. I'll fight my way to the top. You will never be the thorn in my side. Dark horse. Dreams are my driving force. Open your eyes. Go live your own life. "I'm not scared!" It's all that I know. Done nothing but travel without knowing where to go. I've been digging up bones. Remnants of what made up me that I've never shown. When the smoke clears, and the damage is done. I'll be the only one left standing. I see someone without a shred of hope. At their breaking point. At the end of the rope. "I'm not scared!" It's all that I know. Done nothing but travel without knowing where to go. I've been digging up bones. Remnants of what made up me that I'll never show.
Johnathan's dad passed away a few weeks ago, and he lost a brother of his named Ryan, yet this is probably one of the best albums they've ever produced regardless of all that, this is one of the best bands to ever see live, and put more dedication into one song than most bands do in an album - it's amazing how strong these guys are, and I can't say this is my favorite song because this entire album is just pure gold.
I agree. I saw them with Every time i Die and completely underestimated them. i thought they were going to be a bit generic, but I really loved them. Dear Youth sounded awesome live.
I'm surprised that there's so many people who don't realize that Jeremy McKinnon produced To get what you give, and dear youth. And that he has parts in tgi songs. People always saying "A ghost to remember" "a day to ghost inside" and all that. When you produce something. You basically become a member of the band. So you're all hearing jeremys influence on tgi. and some of his actual vocals. Nobody is copying anybody with these 2 bands.
I mean it’s all about the music I hope lol jk people who play instruments and sing know something more than most don’t know, just fact, why do you think sometimes you’re hair stands up? Lol that’s musics blessing and you can tell the fakers lol pop
Bradley Felschow damn that sucks, then again i for one answer it after i read the contact's name also i still have it today, and i realized i timed it wrong i have it from 2:06 until the end
They played this at Download on sunday... Was so fucking good. The chorus is forever gonna remind me of being in a tent surrounded by my friends and awesome people I met, though and now I miss it.
I NEED YOU GUYS IN MY LIFE SO BADLY I SAW YOU IN BOSTON AND IT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY LIFE IT WAS NO BARRIERS AND YOU GUYS MADE MY LIFE WORTH LIVING THAT NIGHT. IVE LOST SO MUCH SINCE THEN AND I THOUGHT IT WAS A JOKE. I'M LITERALLY STAYING ALIVE IN HOPES OF GOING TO A SHOW AGAIN. YOU GUYS ARE SO SPECIAL TO MY HEART. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SO MUCH OF THE MUSIC THAT KEEPS ME GOING WHEN I FEEL LIKE WANTING TO END EVERYTHING...DON'T EVER STOP OKAY? WHEREVER THIS LIFE TAKES YOU!
I listen to this every time before I do an obstacle course race. It never failed me! Currently here because I had a an extreme fever for 4 days and today I'm running. No one is going to talk me out of it,... definitly not after hearing this: True dedication most just do not posses When push becomes shove, can you rise above the rest? Waves of words, they fall short and crash at my feet Such are the ways of the weak
"For their third studio effort, The Ghost Inside enlisted A Day To Remember frontman Jeremy McKinnon as producer and to assist with some vocal sections and I couldnt help but feel his influence all over some points of this album (most noticeable in "Dark Horse")" there you go, a source that isn't Wikipedia don't act like you don't use Wikipedia as your first stop for information.
Check the Wikipedia article for the album, it appears that it is him. He produced the album and does guest vocals on Engine 45 and Dark Horse. At least according to Wikipedia...
I bet there is just some random person who clicks dislike on as many videos as possible and this one just got unlucky as well...He probably looks for keywords like 'dark' or 'ghost' ... There is no reason for anyone to actually dislike the song
This whole album is amazing, and that's hard to find now a days, in matter of fact I love all their songs on all their albums their just amazing!!! And is that really Jeremy McKinnon? :O cuz I love adtr!
they kind of did the same breakdown at 1:54 in this song as they did in their fortunate son cover good thing the fortunate son breakdown is one of my favourite
In fact, if you look at the Wikipedia article, it says "This page was last modified on 26 January 2013 at 17:56", which was clearly edited since I posted my comment. Maybe you don't know how to read.
+Richard Hutton yes. it's true. Jeremy is in this song. He produced this entire record for tgi. Also the Dear Youth record. He has a ton if influence on this record and dear youth. Google it. Wikipedia Jeremy McKinnon and check out his production list. He also produced Neck Deeps last record which a lot of people don't know
In my opinion, the lyrics suggest the problems with bullying and chauvinistic harassment. I could be wrong, but it sounds all about being tired of listening to people's bullshit and dealing with others making themselves seem greater. It's my opinion but the song does have a lot of intrepid value. Plus it sounds melodic AS FUCK.
Is it just me or did the cleans in this song sounded SO MUCH like Chris Motionless'? I swear I'm not just saying that because I'm a huge Motionless In White fan, the clean singing sounded so much alike!
