you guys are the GOAT... lost my dad to kidney cancer, my father in law to colon cancer, my paw paw to pancreatic cancer.. this song has always been a rock for me to stand on in my hardest moments. love you guys
Saw them probably 12-13 years ago (at the Highland in Sayreville, NJ maybe?)and they played dark horse directly into white light just like the album and gave the full story about his brother while the extended white light intro played, and then put on one of the best vox performances ever when the shit kicked in. Been to thousands of hardcore shows and this sticks with me to this day and always will. Props for honoring his legacy in the most immortal way possible. Chills man
I can't listen to this song or get what you give album without crying. Only because I remember being young and you guys gave me so much hope and made me feel so strong and hearing you guys' story and all you've been through. It's been 8 years and I never knew how badly I missed your sound and souls coming through the music. I appreciate you all so much and thank you for all you've done and do. God bless you all and your family's.
Saw them over a decade ago and I’m not sure if it was their Get What You Give tour, or if he was just going through it that night, but he gave the entire origin story about his brother during an extended drum intro and the pain in his voice was prevalent. Every line he screamed hung in the air like it weighed 1000 lbs. it was heartbreaking. He sounded unreal. Lol. And I’ve been to thousands of hardcore shows and am let down by vocalists at least 70% of the time (and will never forgive Garrett Rapp of The Color Morale for making me believe “we all have demons” and “the devil in your eyes”)
