That’s super cool! My dad drove his ‘67 Fastback from LA to Fort Bragg, NC when he got drafted for the Vietnam War. It was the same car, minus the GT package. Nice little C Code/3-Speed car. Congrats, definitely went to the right buyer. Anyone who has an appreciation for cars and has the mentality to drive it home is just awesome. Safe travels!!!

Man-o-man do I agree with that statement Matt. I have now heard back from the buyer and he made it ..... says he has bonded with the Ghost!

That is so cool he made it back without any issues. That car is in the right hands. I wonder who loved the drive more, him or the car? Thanks for the update and the cool videos!

By the end of the trip I connected to the soul of the car and she is definitely alive. She was happy to be free and go to her new home.

Right on Rob, not sure if you have owned a classic GT in the past or this is an addition, but if not, welcome to the club and thanks for preserving them and keeping them stateside. Take care!

I am the "DRIVER" type owner myself. Getting ready for a 500 plus mile trip in an old Porsche soon.

My parents sold one exactly like this in 1970 to a teenager for $1600. I was 6 months from getting my driver license and nevr got to drive it but I had many hours sitting in the drivers seat pretending...

I can relate to that. I cant tell you the number of "pretend driving" hours I logged as a kid in my Dad's cars.
