Fellow Legends, welcome! Today we dive into another excellent Fat Electrician video, this time with an absolute Legend that I didn't hear about in any history class or read in any text book I've come across. That's right, the story of Arthur Wermuth, the Ghost of Bataan. WWII is often overlooked nowadays, especially the Pacific Theater in what classes I've taken. I love learning about history, especially when one person made all the difference in an event. This is one of those situations. This was nothing short of stellar, and I absolutely loved watching this. If you did as well then I do absolutely recommend you go and check out the original video to show some support for the source material!
I did learn after this video about General McAurthur's ability to leave the area due to it being his Theater and as long as it was justifiable he was more than able to move locations and start a new base. It was also early on in the Pacific Theater and US assistance wasn't exactly around the area until a little later on.
