We grew up there and I seem to recall the bridge that went over the tracks being wooden back in the early 70's. Several times during the late 70's when cruisin down that road on wet foggy nights we'd see an image in the mist that appeared to be a woman in a white gown gliding across the hill.
Literally so many ghost and paranormal stories in PA, possibly do a devils road story , near the DuPont house in Chadds Ford. Love watching someone from PA tell these stories.
Ahhh hi! I'm the one who submitted the story and I'm geeking out that you shared it! I love your content especially this! Oh and it is pronounced like Rick- Kell...it's actually my dad's name(Rick) and my moms name(Kellie) put together. Oh and yes...that story you found, I found that too and it is my dad's sister who wrote it lol. Thank you so much for sharing!!
Omg Rickell hi!! 🤩 I had a feeling it was pronounced Rick-Kell 😭😭😭 No lie I researched how to pronounce it and it said “Rickul” online 🥴🤣 Thank you for being such a good sport and so patient with me! And also for submitting this amazing story! Love that family connection with your aunt. 🥰
I'm right there with you on taking a break from time to time. It's without a doubt essential to maintaining one's sanity on social media lol. Welcome back Cat! Great creepy PA story.
I live near Altoona PA we have a "white Lady of Wopsy Mountain" it is on the very top of the road that the Penn State Altoona Campus is on. At the Wopsy look out which has had some creepy stuff like a bloody murder or two happen up there.
If you are into creepy Pa stories, then you should investigate the true documented events of the Ringtown Witch and the ghost of Gordon/Broad Mountain. Both events were major stories in the local and national newspapers, both happened in the early 20th century within 20 years of each other, and both occurred in the present-day North Schuylkill SD Area 10 miles apart.
I just started planning fall too 😅But yea I grew up in Yeadon (a different part of Delco lol) and I swear I can remember walking along the Cobbs Creek trail and either a friend or a parent telling me about a Native American princess who jumped to her death off of a massive boulder situated next to the path. Her ghost allegedly haunts those woods but I never picked up any spooky vibes. But what definitely IS true about Yeadon is that it's the eternal resting place of serial killer HH Holmes, whose unmarked grave still sits in Holy Cross Cemetery. Worth stopping by if you're in the area.
just moved to Delco and want to learn all about the spookier side of the area. My house is older and there are definitely some stuff hanging out around.
