@@DrWolfensteinzI would assume so since the T51 is flat chested. I would hope they made that whole front plate welded just as intended but there is probably some other flaw around the armor which was why they were trying so hard to make the x-01/x-02 armors before the war.

Someone said that the Ghoul represents a Max Level char, and I think his actions + his title show that. I don't think he's the main protagonist, I just think the show referring to him as The Ghoul, shows that for now he's it. The peak of Death in the wasteland, a fighter that walks around no power armor and drops units of Brotherhood of Steel. I think it's the best example
Which is an odd complaint because he has a name, that's just what the show called him. The characters in the show reference him as "The Ghoul" or "that ghoul" because he never tells any of them his name.
@nexeye1 issue is Lucy tells people her name. So does Maximus. But The Ghoul never tells anyone his name, and so he's referred to as "The Ghoul". We, the audience, know his name, but the rest of the characters in the wasteland do not.
Yeah and I dont get why Reddit cast him as more Chaotic Evil. Honestly I see the character as a more Chaotic Neutral Character as in the beginning he wanted humanity to be on the right track. Shrugs...
@@The.Sages.Corner Well I would have to disagree...Reddit because Cooper was a military veteran..he had ideals and a code he followed his beliefs. He valued freedom and protection of people. So really hard to call that Chaotic..that is more Lawful. While yes as living as Ghoul he turned more to survival mode...as combat veteran he is kind of used to that as war truly is hell. He accessed situations, used stealth, or his mind to overcome obstacles or outnumbered, but I cannot imagine living for 200 years and going to war, having combat PTSD, and living with horrors of battle and things he had to do to survive. As veteran myself I loved his portrayal. His experience in battle was key. But I think deep down Cooper is still there. He did watch his friend becoming feral and instead of letting him become something horrible, he mercy killed him. It is slowly revealed throughout show, but to me Ghoul is a deeply complicated character that alignments just cannot codify him. I feel the Ghoul has more to his heart than we have seen, as we know he loved his daughter and wife very much and at end we know why he is on his mission...and why he is pissed. And really with Lucy he was teaching her harsh lesson that the world isn't all good and going to have your back.
Hell, mine too, and I’m not a fan of shows that are based off video games I had very low expectations at first that was until I found out that Walter Goggins was going to be in it
Literally my favorite character because he survives in spite of wanting to die. He’s driven by finding his wife, and doesn’t even know if he can find her. But he keeps pressing on…like a true gunslinger of the West

Graham's getting smoked probably, considering his only real impressive stat would be endurance (considering how much damage he was inflicted with) Ulysses is probably a better matchup considering he has perfect SPECIALS stats, pretty much the same as Frank Horrigan

The brotherhood aren't known to shoot unless necessary. Especially if the pearson is a ghoul. Who possible has power armour repair/maintenance training and still remembers it. Or laser/plasma weaponry repair/maintenance training
If by game lore, if he had the ghoulish "perk", radiation doesn't affect his internal organs as badly as his externals. So his voice wouldn't degrade with time. Even more-so, if his ghoul transformation was the result of F.E.V. instead of just straight-up radiation. Those S.P.E.C.I.A.L. ghouls don't mutate like other ghouls and often are able to keep their voice, mental faculties, as well as reflexes. (The mobster Eddie Winter is one such example)
Probably not, if this guy has been roaming California for the last 200+ years, then he'd have seen the Brotherhood at their height, the Enclave War and the NCR-Brotherhood War, so he's probably seen Power Armour plenty of times, which is why he has the specialised Anti-Armour rounds for his pistol

Idk how I feel about this show knowing a man with a side arm one tapped a dude in ful T-60 while everyone else just watched. That's like beyond plot armor.

ORIGINAL: Love how he has that whole bit about a flaw in the power armor, but wastes 30 rounds dicking about with Maximus in their first encounter and failing to do anything until he resorts to a knife.
Because he immediately knew Maximus was entirely untrained and useless the second he showed up and just wanted to fuck with him. Its not even like that doesn't fit the character, He monologues and fucks with people just for fun. Whereas in this scene he's dealing with multiple actually trained knights and other BOS soldiers (or if you prefer an even simpler explanation, He just didn't bring his super special anti power armour rounds to a random literal dump of a town because he didn't expect to come up against anyone with power armour)
@@whitepaws60 Sure...aside form the one you can see on his bandolier. And every time he messes with people he generally puts an end to them quickly after. That Maximus fight remains errantly on the outside for that factor, especially when it's demonstrated only a few moments before with the doctor's leg that his usual method of messing with people is quite violent and lethal. He even took out people lesser armed and threatening around the square not moments before, and should/would have known messing with the guy in power armor would be a time sink distracting him from his actual task that was now fleeing.
He used different bullets here to get through the armor. So best guess he didn't have them till he knew he would be dealing with the brotherhood after he met max.

Haven't watched it yet but was immediately on board when i heard he was cast. Now knowing he also cast as a badass cowboy ghoul makes me want to watch it even more
Goggins is a legit bad guy. He was excellent as Boyd Crowder in Justified. I have not seen fallout yet but his scenes are peaking my interest for sure 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
it was fixed in a post war revision of t60, either t60b or c, i dont remember. could be explained by saying maximus had the revised armor and this knight didnt, but i doubt the writers actually thought about that.
My thoughts on it was he was mostly having fun in that fight. If you watch the two fights, Cooper behaves very differently. The first battle he was confident of winning and it showed how he slowly walked from cover to cover or stood out in the open. Now the second fight he is completely outnumbered and out gunned against people who seem very trained compared to the wastlanders in the previous settlement. In this fight he is quick on his feet moving around a lot and doing what he can to take people out quickly and efficiently. But if you want a writing perspective... Plot armor.
He didn't have his armor piercing drill tip bullets that you see him load in the later scene. He couldn't pierce maximus' armour because he wasn't expecting power armoured fighters. After the Maximus fight he likely started bringing the armour piercing ammunition with him because now he knows the BoS is out here.
he's already a main character in the show, why would he need his own spinoff? not everything needs sequels and spinoffs. just appreciate the show for what it is.

@namelesspixels I like to think he was just toying with Maximus as he could tell he didn't have a clue how to use power armor properly probably the same reason he told him next time read the manual when he took out one of his components likely a stabilizer

They literally took my new vegas and fallout 4 characters and put them on screen as this wonderful man ❤ I know im not the only one, all my chaotic brothers and sisters eatin so good with this portrayal 😂❤
