I am loving the ant right now. Half the server i was on were ants and we ended up taking over gp. killed everything that wasn't a ant, the crocs were the only things we couldn't kill so we had an uneasy truce with them. Our greatest battle was against a group of 4 apats, 2 amargs and 1 argent... it was a blood bath but we eventually won. FOR THE SWARM. >:)
This is a really good start to invertebrate mods, though I thought it was supposed to have the burrowing ability. I know we have the giant spider to look forward to, and I remember you covered a giant scorpion that looks like it'll be aquatic/semi-aquatic, but I'm eager to know if they're planning on any flying insects, too. I could easily see a Meganeura or some other form of griffenfly being added at some point. Other possibilities could be flying beetles, or imagine a monster fly, mosquito, or wasp. I'm tempted to suggest a giant butterfly or moth too, but I'm not sure if that might be coming too close into Mothra territory.
I'ma be honest- I saw that it was released a literal second before I got the notification for this vid, and I played it for a while. But, I didn't see a burrow ability. Guess Ex Argilla are still testing the ability and all. Next up: the rex of the sky, the guardian of the above, none other than the mighty, one and only, DOMINUS!
Magna Ants be like 'We are Legion, for we are many' on the servers. Also, the 'Roughneck' skin is based on the Arachnids from Starship Troopers. And TheGamingBeaver is SO going to use the Titanomyrma theme from Walking With Beasts when playing as this giant ant.
The roughneck skin is a reference to the movie Starship Troopers. Rico, the main character, called his squadron the roughnecks & the colour of the skin is also how the bugs looked in the movie
i'm a big fan of "inverts", i love the model and the animations but i'm not a big fan of how big it is though. I'm glad they didn't make it as strong as a dinosaur. They made it make sense without making it fully realistic. it's a nice compromise i guess.
Very surprised to see ants everywhere on the GP today. They look and move amazing. If they had the ability to scale vertical surfaces that would be awesome.

Not a weird seal-thing or six-legged, three eyed amphibian, or even a quadruped bird-mammal thing, but just an otter. Your mod creatures are indeed cool!
dude I love the alien mods and I wish they were more popular, might just be the controls and animations, just needs some tweaking. I hope I get to try it out!
Makes me wonder what potentially other giant insects we could be getting. Personally, Arthropluera, Meganeura, Pulmonoscorpius/giant land scorpion, or even a Eurypterid/sea scorpion would be an interesting/cool concept 😎💝 But, most of all, a giant praying mantis would be sick! Imagine a Therizinosaurus sized praying mantis hunting you. That'd be terrifyingly cool~! x3 🤩😤✊
I actually thibk they'll add this mod in the db3 all mods server, cause last night after a shutdown and the ant didn't appear i was annoyed, so i talked to some of the people and they said it might be to OP, but looking at this video i think UNP (underpowered) so yeah
a spider or wasp mod would be cool (spider should come i’ve heard) wasp mod would be interesting, if i would be able to do a mod i would do that😂 venom and bleed sting, after 3 successful hits the target gets paralized for 3 seconds, like the mira attack. flying sounds like a tiny helicopter, and it could sense other enemies with its antlers like the struthi
Always sad to see when great games get flodded with unrealistic creatures that have never existed. Im not even talking about this giant ant but about all the dragons and wyverns, stuff like that.
its a mod, so it doesnt really effect the game as they will only be on select community servers, i do get the worries, but i dont think it harms the game negatively, just provides more ways to play the game for those whom wish to
