If we are being realistic, An Ant that size would be off the charts OP. They nerfed it for the game but if this were real, their exo skeleton would be super OP and their strength.

I swear, this happens every time a new mod drops or an ability is tweaked. I think people just get mad that they have to rethink their tired strategies in order to hold their own. The raptor pounce nerf is a prime example. Even when immune while latched, it still took a group of raptors dozens of bites to actually take a dino down. But everyone whined so loudly about it that Alderon not only got rid of the latch immunity, but ADDED a 50% latched debuff. And yet folks still complain about raptors 🙄 I'm sure its only a matter of time before the ant's pounce gets removed or nerfed out of usefulness

Kapro has somehow just missed the nerf hammer for the entirety of its duration in PoT, its ridiculously strong for its size, regularly punching above its weight, being immune to bone break, having faster land speed than a lot of terrestrials & armour piercing bites. It most def needs a nerf.

1 ant kills a yuty. How is this allowed!! 😩 I get that some ppl want to play as this, and that's fine. But every time a new mod creature (mostly fantasy ones) drops, most servers immediately get overrun with them. I can't play as a regular dino without bumping into griffins, dragons, and giant ants anymore. Unless I go on a full realism server, which is on the complete other side of the spectrum and something I don't always want to be involved in. Give these people a few dedicated servers, and let everyone else play as actual dinosaurs without getting KOS'ed by ants.

@MoofUrtos What doesn't please me is buying a dinosaur game only for it to get swarmed by dragons and other mythical creatures. Again, if people want to play as those, that's cool. It just seems servers without them are running out. Why not get some dedicated servers for these mods and leave other servers for the people who want to play as actual dinosaurs/pterosaurs.

There needs to be a much stricter balance control system for these mods, most of them are stupidly outrageously strong. I'm losing all desire to play on community servers because of this issue.

These imbalances not only ruin the gameplay, but they can cause such frustration, it could and probably does drive people from the community servers. I'm not attacking the modders, I'm attacking the process.

The damage of ant has been nerfed and it's now weak as a solo but very strong in a group. It gets a 40% armour boost when in a group and it stacks 4 times which is what makes it so strong plus pounce. (Should be 20 or 25%) At least it can't pick up a rex anymore and it can't swim. Ant should be strong in a froup though, it's an ant.

@@Clodsodclodthat's cause ants are tiny. It's a lot easier picking things up the smaller you are, the larger you are the harder. So no it wouldn't make sense for the ant to pick up a rex especially given the fact a rex is unimaginably stronger all around than the ant

It can tank a spino stomp without the group armor buff, can pounce and bleed, and can eat mushrooms to heal. It’s broken.

ant classes should actually change appearance and matter more like remove stuff from scout and give it wing and let it drop pheromones only partied ants and other ants can see and drops pheromones on death to partied ants, and warrior can only get spike armor and gets a bigger head and takes less damage from the head, worker build up the colony food storage which must be built and other ant classes can only eat using the storage forcing team work, and a queen ant takes 50 percent less damage but has no attack but buff all partied ants within a 50 mile radius by a huge amount but gets marked when using the buffing ability and when killed all partied ants get a 50 percent temp debuf to health until they flee the area and a worker needs a queen to collect food for the colony.

the problem with ant is it's clamp ability where it can pick bigger things drag them into a small place and kill them in the mesh

With the team buffs I was able to survive a charge bite from a sarco, not sure if it was a full one though, which was kinda crazy. Ants aren't AS overpowered as people make them seem, they have their weaknesses. A bunch of people figured out they are terrible in water and would grab and drop us into the water. I really think all they need is a health and stam debuff then they're back where they should be in the balance.

Velocci's video on it made the ant look quite weak compared to dinos but it looks like his video didn't really truly showcase how strong the ant is. After watching this i think i'm gonna be on the side of those who call it overpowered.

Try to be patient while behind, if you go too fast, you’ll lose it fast, and if you’re a beginner at it, definitely don’t practice on the ant. For a good learning resource I’d go and watch my old allo build, that video is mainly tailriding and as much as I don’t say tips, it’s quite slow paced tailriding so you can learn from it easily

The delay on that charge bite is just insane for thr damage it deals. Yea its the things strongest attack but also im pretty sure deinon deals more damage with its normal bite xd
