Hello everybody, I hope you all are doing well! Now, I originally was going to finish and release this video sometime next year. I ended up posting it now because I decided to move the "The Evolution of Whales" project to next year, and I'll be spending a lot more time on this project. Regardless, hope you all enjoy this video. "How to Clone a Mammoth" is still scheduled for the end of December, so stay tuned for The next episode of Paleo-Oddballs will be slated for next year, and will be on Odobenocetops.

I think the current consensus is that the Atlantic and Indo-Pacific blue marlin is the same species, and the largest individuals seems to come from the Pacific. And although Xiphiorhynchus are really big, female blue marlin can get a 3.7m+ lower jaw fork length in modern scientific record quite reliably despite the overfishing and limited data

The biggest I've ever seen personally was caught in Bermuda on July 4, 2004 durin the World Cup Marlin Tournament and weighed 1189lbs and I walked it of at almost 17 feet. Over 5 meters. I didn't catch it because I was fighting an estimated 500 lb. Blue marlin. Because of the description from the captain on the radio we released my fish.

@@awesomeproductions7755 well, Nipponosaurus - despite the name - did not originate from the Japanese archipelago. It was discovered in South Sakhalin in 1934, when it used to be part of the Japanese empire (then known as the Karafuto Prefecture). Thing is Rhamphosuchus and Megalodon don't seem to have crossed paths (even if they did my money would be on Megalodon). However, Megalodon did cross paths with another giant crocodilian similar to Rhamphosuchus, called Piscogavialis. Based on the more slender jaws, I'd say both crocodilians would have had a bad time tussling with the Meg, but I'd have to do more research for a solid answer.
