When a mysterious fox starts killing her livestock, a young girl must track him through a cold, foreboding wilderness. Visit the official website: www.girlandthefox.com
Why does this remind me of the video game, "Never Alone?" In the game, there's an Eskimo girl trying to find her way through the harsh Alaskan winter to find her family and an Artic fox helps her on her journey and protects her every step of the way. This animation seems to be inspired from the game but different since the girl is trying to kill the fox for killing her livestock but the fox ends up protecting her in the snow.
guinealover6674 !!! I loved "Julie and the Wolves." The wolves helped Julie in the winter with them, which shows that many creatures will care for you in return when you're feeling hopeless or at a loss. We can learn many things from them. Also, I wish I were a wolf. They are so gorgeous and majestic!
Hey, Base14productions :). About 10 years ago your channel inspired me to try animating. Followed your tutorials and made my first animation in flash :). Not alot of people were impressed by the result to say the least :DD. But for me it was best feeling ever. I gave drawing a life. Instantly I knew I wanted to be an animator (I was about 17 years old back then). After studies and few other animations I wrote to my local animation studio asking to give me a try. I was completely beginner back then and worked for free for a few months. Often working 20 hour days completely for free. That's how much I loved it. They saw my passion and hired me. After two years I became lead animator in said studio and now I work there for more than 5 years and couldn't be happier. Long story short, I never forgot your channel and after all these years just wanted to say thank you, for being so inspiring and for helping me to find my passion in life
that little girl was so bad ass, the way she pulled out that shank and tackled the fox, and the fox was all like "TRY ME HOE" and she didn't do nuthin, she didn't do.....nuthin.
The funny thing is... If people fence in their livestock properly then you wont have issues with other animals eating them. 1. Get a wooden fence that is tall enough so animals can't jump in and deep enough so they can't dig under. People really need to stop using crappy chain link fences because they aren't working! 2. Check the fence weekly to make sure the boards are in good condition, if you have the time and energy to raise livestock, you most certainly have enough to walk along a fence! 3. Watch as your livestock lives and a wild animal doesn't have to die (wolf, fox, honey badger? I don't know!) Either way, really cute animation!
Still though. It kind of bothered me how the girl didn't fence in her chickens and didn't expect them to be eaten! It's a simple fact that when you introduce animals that are really stupid and don't know how to defend themselves it's very easy prey for the forest's carnivores.
you know you're too much into Attack on Titan when you see some Asian girl with short black hair and a scarf and yell, "mini Mikasa!" the parents of this kid don't help my views go any lower either.
Awww. Such I cute story. :) reminds me of Lila a young Fox pup I take care of after my father killed its mother about a year ago. I wouldn't let him hurt the pup so I looked after it. She's still with us on this day and is the center piece to my life. I can never regret taking her in.
It was so... sad. When she fell, I thought she was dead, until the fox saved her, and then... at the end she left the fox, and most likely never saw it again... It reminded me a bit of The Fox and the Hound.
I've never been able to draw but have always found a strong love of animation and especially 2D and this was an extremely beautiful. I've always wished there was a full animated movie that had this level of silence and emotion to it.
When the fox wrapped his tail around the girl I was like "AWWW thats adorable!" The fox saved her life because she spared his. :) Great story line. Love the fox.
Absolutely stunning! Beautiful score, animation, and writing! Truly an incredible piece, you are going somewhere and I can't wait to see your work on the big screen!
This reminds me of the game Never Alone, the game is about a girl who try's to fine where a storm is coming from and she makes friends with a fox who helps her. when she was gone her town was destroyed. She has to run away from a bear and the mad who burned down her home. The fox dies and becomes a ghost boy and he helps by moving trees. Soon they find that the storm was made by a ice man who was knocking the snow arownd when he was getting ice. She Stells his ice pic and breaks it then she goes home to her family who is alive. The fox ghost boy said goodbye to her and he went up to the sky. I loved the game and as you're playing you unlock videos!
+Dog Meat ... if the story were real, the fox would eat from the girl frozen body, and her parents would catch rabies from the remains when they found her... but that is an another tale
I know right! Animation reminds me so much of that game and the way the fox protects the girl is just like how the Artic fox protects the Eskimo girl in Never Alone.
When that girl ran into the forest, just seeing the animation had me in tears on the floor laughing my ass off. I'm sorry, but it was so sudden. It took me by surprise the way she kinda hobble-jogged. Sorry again. Bye. X3
+JKGamerYT my grandpa had a pet fox but he ended up having to shoot it because it killed his moms pet bird so yeah if u want a pet fox don't have other pets
This reminds me of a game trailer I saw of a young girl and an arctic fox. The game was called "Never Alone". It was the same concept of a young girl befriending a fox.
great work with the animation, also good story line too, only wish i knew how to capture the illusion of animation, althrough i would like to do 3D but i also want to be able to go back to animation's true and original roots (2D animation).
