The Girl From Ipanema is the second-most recorded pop song in history. This song is the first tune Joyce Partise learned in Portuguese, and it is still her absolute favorite! Music by Antônio Carlos Jobim, Portuguese lyrics by Vinícius de Moraes. English lyrics were written later by Norman Gimbel.

One of my favorite songs! I've been playing guitar for over 55 years. This is one of the first songs I learned with REAL jazz chords! (Haha!) Joyce does such a fantabulous job on this! And the fact that she can sing it in Portuguese! OMG! AMAZING! The band in nothing short of FANTASTIC! And I love the fact that her brother Joe is playing on this. I know Joe. He is probably the best keyboard player I have ever had the opportunity to play with!
