It’s pathetic that full grown ups asked them to leave because they were scared of a doll??? 🙄

I also find working with, changing outfits and rearranging my dolls to be relaxing. They provide a different sense of calm and peace and they always seem happy with whatever we do for them. I’m 14 and a boy and my parents tell me I’m way too old to be collecting dolls. I’m really glad this person Finds comfort in collecting dolls like I do. I collect monster high and summer Equestria girls, so more playline dolls but the comfort we find in them is the same

My dolls represent my parents emotional neglect towards me when I was young. Somehow my dolls, or my children, filled a missing part of me inside. My great grandma used to collect dolls and I was honestly afraid of them and never understood her perspective of collecting them. But now as a grown woman who collects them today and treat them like my own children, I began to understand why she was collecting them because she found comfort. I see that loneliness is a difficult thing to deal with because you don't have anyone to talk to and pass time. I don't give a damn if people say I'm weird or creepy for loving dolls because my dolls helped me live my life and comforted me during times when my depression keeps coming back to torture me with suicidal thoughts. To anyone who collects dolls, you are awesome!:) Don't let people tell you what to do just because you're a grown adult now and that dolls are for children only.

You can really tell how much of a grasp she has on her mental health. What helps her in the moment, what she needs to get through bad episodes. it's really refreshing! Her dolls are also very beautiful

I am obsessed with bjds mostly for the art of it all, creating wigs, clothing, sculpting, painting, making realistic eyes, even props for them like sculpting dogs for them to have etc…I’m an artist I love art and these dolls are literally movable sculptures.

While Im watching this! I keep looking at my Dolls around me and thinking Ah! They are increasing every year! I loved dolls since when Iam a little kid even now at the age of 31 years of age! But for me I always think that my Dolls have souls within them! and came alive when I give them names! Just my though for myself tho! I will also have a new Doll joining my big family of dollies! I Cant wait for Gege Xie Lian!

What a beautiful person and a beautiful personality she has! I also collect BJD dolls and live/work as an adult with a hobby that brings me happiness and comfort. I think people have very juvenile opinions sometimes and let stereotypes unnecessarily rule their daily lives. Hobbies bring such color and meaning to your life, and you should enjoy them as much as possible. I hope she is happy forever. If she had IG or social media, I'd love to find her!

, I am well into my 80s and just bought two of the BJD DOLLS ( a first time for me ) I have loved BARBIE DOLLS SEINCE I WAS 14 years old ( long story) I don’t think you are weird just because of your love for your dolls ! I have a daughter and I bought dolls for her and made cloths for those dolls ! I enjoyed every minute of that time and yes that was very relaxing 😌 for me! I'm new to the hobby but I get it. I'm waiting for my third doll to come in but the two I do have, Helen and Sylvia, are sweet. Sylvia was a gift from someone whereas Helen was my own creation, but I adore them both, even if Sylvia is a bit snobby, or if Helen is a bit of a geek.

I am a 50 yr old married mother of 2, and I love my BJD’s. I have always loved dolls, and even made an Etsy business that stems from the hobby.

I have been collecting BJD's for over 11 years now. I am 35. Only recently (a few days ago) have my dolls truly helped me through rough times... my partner of over 3 years and me broke up a few days ago, and we cut contact yesterday, I needed comfort, so I did admittedly buy a used Doll Family-A 68cm boy body for my Studio Naiko Sanzo head when we initially broke up... his body arrived yesterday, which was lucky because that is the day we stopped contacting each other.. it was a rough day yesterday and again today it is very rough... my BJD's and especially my doll Sanzo has been the only comfort i have had from the deep heartbreak I am feeling, as I truly loved my partner and I miss him a lot, the pain is so hard to deal with... I am lucky to have something like BJD's that can help me through tough times. Sanzo has been constantly by my side ever since his body arrived, he is the only thing that can comfort me at the moment. BJD's really can help people.
