it's really not confusing, the doll attracts other spirits/demons, so when her sealed case was opened the doll became "active" again, attracting other spirits, like the one that hunt the artifacts they keep. all these different things were happening because there were different spirits everywhere in the house.
In prior movies the Warrens have said without absolute faith if you touch anything in their hoard of cursed objects you will be haunted or cursed by those objects. Following them with the original curse. Even the Warrens wouldn't touch anything in their artifact room without proper prayer or rites preformed.
I hoped you two liked this one... It's not as scary as Creation. But admit that it's at least way better than the first one. (I have fun watching Comes Home)
Watching this whole franchise in chronological order was the best thing I've done with a horror franchise watch. The one year later time jump in this movie is the same year they helped the Perron's family from the first Conjuring and made a bit more of a name for themselves.
I personally loved this film because as a life long fan of the Warrens (not saying I believe them) I always wanted more than just the stories we all know and get a ton of attention. Getting a hodgepodge of stories like in their best book "The Demonologist" via the artifact room is far more appealing to me. It's flawed, but I got exactly what I was hoping for. Also Feeley Meeley is a real game. I purchased one after the film came out.
Annabelle 3 is my favorite one in the spin off saga. Maybe it’s not that scary, but the warren house infestation, with ghosts from case’s we never saw before, is what excites me the most. It has so much contents and it’s more enjoyable even for people that do not like horror movie’s.
I got annoyed at this film because it had so much potential, with the a whole artefact room, and it just did not work. But I really enjoyed Judy's character, and there was definitely a character arc for her. And a kind babysitter who actually cares about the child aswell as the rules the parents put in place, and even listens to the child, is actually very refreshing. There were some really cool moments and scares that got lost in the whole feeling of the film, like seeing the floating eyes/coins and them dropping as the light moved up slowly and hit them. The clichés and the overall tone undermined these moments in my opinion.
It’s so funny seeing Stella and Hayley reacting to horror movies! They make them so much more fun to watch! Though I feel sorry they have to get scared so often lol not really though haha
When I first saw this I was a little disappointed because I wanted more of the Warrens but after watching it a few more times I actually really liked it.
I didnt know this one wasn't well received, it's actually one of my favorite horror movies because it just has that classic haunted house feel, it's not as intense as the rest in the franchise but I love that. Most of the time when I want to throw on a scary movie, I dont want something heavy, and this one is just so fun while still having some good scares.
The moment where the lady comes up covered in tomato sauce and goes "There's been an accident" is the funniest thing to me ever 😂😂😂. I like this movie for the lore. I wish they stayed away from the wolf-fog thing though. That was cheesy to me.
I'm not usually one for horror movies, but I watched this one because I'm a fan of the guy who plays both the demon and the Ferryman. I honestly like it, watched it 3-4 times. Though it's hard to be scared when you're cheering "Alex!" at two of the monsters.
It’s funny that you mentioned the thing about ghosts half pulling out of your bed. Because that actually was the ghost from the original Conjuring. This takes place after Conjuring 1, so they have Bathsheba’s artifact at this point. So it was a nice little cameo of the original antagonist
Right before this startet I rewatch a nice little animated movie from my childhood that I would loooove all 4 of you to react to. It's called Felidae (a German movie but there is an english dub) and it's about a cat that moves into a new neighborhood and becomes a detective solving a crime. Here in Germany you have to be 12 to watch it but I guess it has an r rating in the US. Also I 'm always waiting for the door behind Hayley to slowly open.
You girls are a delight I've been catching up on yall videos and just now caught up you two have a great synergy much respect too you keep it up and the nun the scariest one
I like this one a lot. It's got a bit more of a fun vibe while also having some good scares. It's more personal and feels like a terrifying adventure vs. straight horror.
Love the reaction gals. Idk if I want to say fun fact or not but the reason why this film feels different than the other two Annabelle's and Conjuring films is because, yes James Wan did have a part of production of this film but not quite as much as the others because he was working on his Aquaman film.
what is there to be confused about? Annabelle attracts spirits. Annabelle inside the glass case cant attract anything. Annabelle outside of the case attracts all the spirits attached to all the artifacts in the artifact room.
I liked Haleys face lighting! It fits very well I keep waiting for one of you to do your own jump scare on us! I thought the movie was pretty good, except for the girl who started it all. I've known stupid people who would not have done half of what that girl did! (I can't think of her name...) Thanks for a fun time! I feel that if a movie WAS bad...(I mean Really bad) It would still be worth it with all your comments.
Honostly this one scared me in the theaters unlike the second one, Yes you are right you do need to know a bit about the cases when seeing it but none the less it was interesting. I liked this one more than the second and first ones and for the record La Rona is not and I repete is not apart of the Conjuring francise even James himself said so...the only connection is that James produced it. The first conjuring movie will always be the one I love the most and the one that scared me the most but this one did a pretty good job at it. I agree a lot goes on but still it was well done and Mckenna Grace is amazing as always, she is a teenager now by the way.
In October of 2022, Conjuring franchise creator James Wan officially confirmed that The Conjuring 4 was on the way. New Line Cinema is currently preparing production for the upcoming new Conjuring movie, and it will be written by The Conjuring 2 and 3 writer David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.
26:38 I don’t think it’s confusing. Like they said at the beganing of the film. Annabelle is a beacon of demons and spirits. Basically a magnet and makes their presence strong again. And Daniela purposely touched everything to see her dad. She is obviously still dealing with his loss. She is quite angry and wants a way to see her dad. I wouldn’t say she is stupid, just ignorant. No one knows how to deal with spirits except the Warrens. So I’m her case it’s not a regular dumb kid being disrespectful; she just needed to connect to her father but she is obviously to ashamed or scared to ask the Warrens for help. Plus she couldn’t be sure if what they do is for real or just a scam (like the real life Warrens).
What you said about the Warner Bros logo is so reletable because I watched Harry Potter so many times. And now everytime that I see the logo I am immediately waiting to hear the Harry Potter melody.
Just a suggestion on what to watch next, Try Trevor the Musical, it’s not a thing you hear about a lot especially because if came out last year and no one really knows it, but it’s so good at I cry every time I watch it, it’s really good and if you see this comment, you should definitely watch it!
I agree with Hayley its very goosebumps reminiscent. I did like it but i did feel like it was missing the high stakes intensity of the other movies. It felt like a scary but fun young adult-ish horror movie. Which I do like, but again, it wasnt what I had expected at all.
I love Daniela because she's so problematic. And I empathize way too much with her having a dead dad you want to talk to again, but I get that she's super annoying and written than way on purpose. She was also on Supernatural, which holds a special place in my heart~
@@circlenowsquared y like her she the one who released the doll back out in the first place like if it says do no t open door don’t open it like it could be dangerous u never know
In Scouts (Girls and Boys) they had the hidden items in boxes. For us they had some kind of nature items (soft like moss or sticky like a pine cone, stuff like that) and I never could stick my hand in without looking first because I watched too many horror movies. I liked this one but agree, it wasn't the best (and the werewolf threw me off).
This Annabelle movie actually scared me more than the others. When a horror movie has a plot, I get less scared by it because I'm focused on the story, but this movie was just jumpscare after jumpscare, and when you least expected it. They'd set up a jumpscare, it wouldn't happen, you'd calm down, and then they'd hit you with it. For a long time, it was the only Conjuring franchise movie I didn't rewatch, for two reasons. Firstly, it didn't have a proper story, it was just there to scare you, so it made me far less interested in it. Secondly, I'm not that keen on horror movies whose sole purpose it to be scary without a story, its boring for me, especially when the scares are so bunched up and span the entire movie so you always know its going to come, there is never any long moments of reprieve. Furthermore, they didn't develop any of the characters in the movie, so I didn't get attached to anyone, and I wasn't routing for anything, just wishing it was over. I like the aspects of getting engrossed in a story, and getting the shit scared out of you in the process, and this movie just lacked that for me. Creation was my favourite of the franchise, but I found Comes Home more scary. But then again, I spent the entirety of Hereditary laughing at how ridiculous it was, when all my friends who watched it found it insanely scary, so it's hard for me to find a movie truly scary.
You got the answer in the Annabelle creation. The parents, created the doll to be a vessel for their daughter but turned out the daughter was just the devil or a demon. Something powerful enough to attract other spirits. Like the nun that was also seen in AC. Since the orphan nun brought the spirit of The Nun, its been attached to the doll. Which is why Annabelle the girl & Annabelle the doll are obtained by 2 different spirits until they got connected again when Annabelle (the devil) died as a young woman, with her blood running into the doll. Why is it a beacon? Because its inhabited by the devil?! & with the different spirits, different rules aka there really aint no rule. Thats What Ive taken from the movies without having watched any lore.
WOW!! I always love this one and Creation. I thought it was equally as OR scarier than the first two and thought it was pretty well-liked even in theatres??...... Oh Well..... Maybe it's just me... I tend to like movies that aren't well-liked among Fans OR even critics... Like "The Nun" (Which I hope you react to) 😂 Glad you ladies are reacting to the whole franchise AND I hope you do the "Insidious" franchise after you're done w/ this one 🤘
Have to say, not a fun watch. This video I mean. It felt more like a chore to them. As for the movie, I thought it was fine. Picked up in the second half. Was kind of fun seeing the other spirits appear. My favorite of the Annabelle movies is the second one.
I knew there going to hate daniela but for me she was my favorite in this movie bc i like her story she tried to communicate with her dad just to tell her dad sorry so i dont blame her the only think i didn't like it was that she was touching everything that part i didn't get but yea and also i really like judy she strong and smart and i like the relationship between judy and daniela so yea thats my opinion
I vote La llorana! No one talks about this film but it was honestly fantastic and I adore the fact that the woman who was Ancksunamun in the Mummy is in La Llorona.
This is the release order I found: The Conjuring Annabelle The Conjuring 2 Annabelle: Creation The Nun The Curse Of La Llorona Annabelle Comes Home The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It This is the canonical/ chronological order The Nun Annabelle: Creation Annabelle The Conjuring Annabelle Comes Home The Curse Of La Llorona The Conjuring 2 The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
Yeah, that's the problem with studios trying to milk a franchise. It never really ends well. The Conjuring (the first one) was still the best in my opinion, the second one was decent, too. All the others just increasingly feel like meaningless jumpscare parades.
How did you not recognize that the little girl was Bee Mullins from Creation? You watched it. Also, how yall not know who Charon The Ferryman is? I learned about him in English class along with a bunch of other things Greek Thought & Literature Also, you said you didn't know some of the "famous cases." Cause you probably haven't looked up anything they did in their long career and you're just watching the films to see what they were all about, even thought these films are done more dramatically to raise stakes and make you feel more spooked. And you are too hard on Daniel's character. She is desperate and grieving and didn't know what she was getting herself into. She was just curious, and wanted to try getting into contact with her dad in any way. I like watching these reactions but I just noted a few things to nit pick about.
Y'all don't need to watch The Nun and The Curse of La Llorona (though it's probably too late for The Nun). The only redeeming thing about The Nun is the guy who plays Frenchie, he's cute af. Otherwise it's just a boring and stupid jumpscarepalooza. The Curse of La Llorona is even worse.
personally I only liked the 1st insidious and the conjuring and maybe conjuring 2, the rest I hated a lot... the nun, la Llorona, all the Annabelle's and so on I just didn't enjoy any of them sadly
I know you guys did the nun already but i still feel like you guys should do the curse of Llarona. No one really likes it but its still part of the universe.
I'm sorry but if you want to contact a lost loved one isn't the most logical thing to see a medium like most normal people, instead of going to ask cursed and haunted objects. I mean, why would your loved one be there? Personally, it was hard to empathize with Daniela in this movie.
