Time has moved on and this is no longer the original Gladiators band, but singer Al Griffiths, backed up by his brother Anthony Griffiths on the drums, are determined to carry on the work of their father, and to keep all those original Gladiators songs alive, for new audiences to hear.
Al and Anthony are sons of the late Albert Griffiths, who founded the original Gladiators in 1968, eventually passing away in December 2020, just short of 75 years of age.
Tonight was the first live performance of the Gladiators and Congos joint 2024 European tour - six prior planned performances had had to be re-scheduled from April to June.
