I went out a walk a couple of Sundays ago, and found remains of a building I hadn't come across before. By sheer chance I caught a glimpse of some writing peeking out from under some bricks and moss. After 15 minutes digging with my bare hands I uncovered an old 'Players Please!' advertising sign in almost perfect condition along with an old old milk bottle. I gave the sign to the Conservation group and added the bottle to my growing collection! Might go back to that spot again with a trowel for a nosey about.....
@@GrahamElder10 interesting. Ive Just discovered Sir Winston Churchill had holiday on those grounds, in adjacent cottage to the main mansion, he probably went for walk through estate grounds up to the hidden glen. The area must have had an air of luxury retreat.
Ive Just discovered Sir Winston Churchill had holiday on those grounds,, in large cottage adjacent to the main mansion. Probably walked the estate in area filmed, and into the hidden glen. He was a scots MP for 14 years.
