As someone who went to Silverstone for practice in 1996 and heard the Renault V10 live, they've got the sound almost exactly correct.

@@mea1544 the Quadrifoglio has a twinturbo V6 which doesn't derive from the one used in F1 by Alfa Romeo -Sauber or "whatever they are called", instead is a really close relative of the Ferrari's V8. But a Quadrifoglio with a F1 engine could be quite interesting, maybe a little scary.

I saw the real one driven around Silverstone in 1995 during the GP weekend and it was one of the most memorable motorsport experiences of my life. I was stood at Woodcote and the Espace F1 was loud even on the other side of the circuit. Coming along the old pit straight it was deafening with that V10 scream echoing off the grandstands. Awesome

iirc, the only way you could originally get this mod was to pay some scammy company like £250. The model was stolen from someone, and the physics were a rip from one of the F1 cars from Kunos. The only reason you can get it now is because the original model creator threatened a copyright lawsuit on the company.

I've been in the passenger seat and was able to do one lap at Abbeville track in France when i was studying mechanics, when I was 18 yo. The professional school I was in, was working and building injection ramps for Renault SPort, formule campus... The Espace F1 was here as a demo. What impressed me the most was the brakes. and how heavy you can get when the pilot goes from 160 km/ to 60km/h in only 20 meters. BTW there was no seats at the back but only the engine, and in french it's a "he" not a "she".

Saw it running at the FOS once and it's the most bizarre thing. You hear an F1 car and then a people carrier comes into view. I know what it was from having played GT2, just didn't realise it really existed. It also looked really level when cornering, if a little solid.

The Espace F1 and a later, open top Espace conecpt both reside in the Matra Museum. Went as a kid in the early 2000's while on holiday - it was a small place but had amazing cars.

You might want to check the lugs on that left rear. It was wobbling a bit in the intro. Also says you have to go slow in the corners. Proceeds to go around one at 160... SLOW

Just so that everyone gets how much work was done in Gran Turismo 2, a 90s game, for me, this mod and video it felt very close to the physics in GT2, it was a tough car to drive, not intended for racing, but an awesome sight to see, I remember spinning so many times with this car, until I managed to get whole laps with it, so hard, not fast enough, yet so satisfying.
