I immediately clicked comments looking for this one lol. My damn ears, Forrest!! But imagine if they put street tires on it just to see how hard it would pull.
it already looks like crab walking... think about how mild an angle you make to merge 10 ft over a period of 2 seconds. At 60mph, that's a 6.5° angle. you pretty much look like you're driving dead straight
Most salesman not all, usually know nothing about what they’re selling people. Just trying to put people in the highest costing vehicle. Salesman like this guy are rare 😂
And it stops, 60 to O in one only 20 seconds…but it replenishes its battery loss by 80%. The grandma that you ran over will be thrilled with the regenerative braking, I’m sure.
I raised an eye brow when he took the roof off, I opened my eyes wide when I saw the 3 friggen wind wipers and my jaw dropped when he went 0-60 in 3 seconds
It's fastest ev ever you know why? Because of it's wight it's about 9000 pounds which mean if it was less wight it could go even faster beside no car i have ever seen go to 3.2 seconds in 0 to 60 miles with this much of weight
@@joshgoodman6534Yeah that's technically true 🤓🤓 but usually racing games like forza that has the warthog simulate an combustion engine power band among other things but I'll keep this simple.
Yea but I'm pretty sure the warthog could tow more and tow it longer, I watched the review for this thing and it tows less then 8,000 and I think it went just under if not just over 120 miles if I remember correctly.
@@Titantitan001imagine how hard it will be for the people advertising this car This is umm a cup holder- "Why?" So that you can have the best experience in vacations an- "I don't go to vacations"
the cameraman And OR forrest are both actually not very talented. either forrest himself hasn’t realized the wind protector on so much of his videos and hasn’t said something, that should be a 1 Episode ERROR and not a part of the channel. professionally speaking, this cameraman does not know what’s in his shot. for someone with no knowledge in video footage, he basically just puts his finger in front of the camera.
I watched a dozen of your shorts, but without sound and noticed a key of your success: every gesture and shot almost force the viewers on the exact thing you are talking about. I think this is underrated, keep doing it.
@@FakeRights But only around 18 hours on a Level 2/240V charging system. And I don't even think that's the fastest L2 config (this accepts 16kW IIRC or something around that). On DCFC it wgets around 100mi in 15 minutes, and does 10-80% SoC in like 28 minutes or something. There's ZERO reason to plus this into a wall outlet, and worse, use it in 8A mode.
@@therapgame1091 so were the originals but the originals had style. These things just look like the new ford bronco after putting on a few thousand extra pounds.
@@thatguyoverthere9634 no because at least the bronco still has an engine. Style wise i disagree because it is completely different design likewise and entirely different drive mechanism. Also wow 100k for an old hummer that's pricy. I know as much that old hummers have kept their value over time
@@user-b1gbl4ckc0 what the heck was i yapping about a year ago?? I think i was trying to say EVs are still bad and an engine hybrid style would of been nice too. Knowing hummers the reason they made them EVs was due to the negative impact they had when the 1st gen of hummers were out no one liked them due to their terrible fuel efficieny. To cover up that negative impact they created the 2nd and 3rd gen hummer. They discontinued it however now that they have a more "environmentally friendly" vehicle (evs still cause a lot of pollution during its manufacturer and etc. Etc. Problems.) Is why they brought the hummer back but this time with some insane functions such as those in the video.
Biggest home run? In what way? I love that they made this car. But I'd be surprised if they ever sell more than 5,000 of these. It's so heavy, it's literally not legal on some streets. It has a 200kwh battery, MORE THAN DOUBLE the size of the standard F-150 lightning, which has enough battery capacity to power your house for a week! If you were to get this, you'd seriously have to upgrade your home charging setup. Like I said, I love it and it's an engineering marvel. But it's just not practical.
Oh, GMC knows that this is not a high volume car in the same way that Ferrari, Lamborghini, and others make cars. The Hummer is not for me and the other 90% of the US population, and for the 10% that could get it, 8% will be sensible to not get it, and 1.8% think GMC is trash. Putting ALL that aside, the Hummer is really impressive. I drove my friend's Hummer a few weeks ago, and the video just doesn't do it justice. There are so many great details and features, and it really is a huge, heavy, and fast car. Is it sensible? Hell no. But so are the other amazing expensive cars that exist in Italy and other countries. I appreciate THAT part of it.
@@dontbanmebrodontbanme5403 Mercedes g wagons sell like hotcakes and those things are so heavy you get a government rebate. Same with suburbans and Escalades. All while being in the same price range of near 100,000 if not more. In this day and age you have people paying nearly double msrp for f150s and 90k for broncos and not to mention those robins trucks that people are selling for over 160k!! This hummer ev will sell just fine. The original hummers sold alright and those things got 5 gallons to the mile. If you have the money for the vehicle your last worry is how much it costs to keep it moving
This is my dream car. I'm a mechanical engineering student working with electric vehicles. This summer I'm doing an internship with BMW. My biggest fear is that I'm going to work so hard in school, only to not be able to afford this vehicle when I graduate. It's so cool. I'm obsessed with how big it is and how fast it can be
Legally im not even allowed to drive the Hummer ev with my German driving license, as its to heavy, haha. Anyways, love your videos and congrats on 1 million subscribers 🎉
