You ever considered a plain chrome spoon?

I have never tried it, but we have had conversations about trying a full spread of just chrome spoons. Would be a good video!!

Many thanks, guys. You couldn't have picked a better topic for this week's episode. Capt. Winn, we'll be out of St. Joe the 2nd wk in April in a 19' blue/white Starcraft bearing the name of Freyja. Honk as you go by, haha. We'll be the boat that looks like it doesn't know what its doing. Thanks again for the vid.

Lure selection is so interesting to me regionally. I've fished Michigan and Superior my whole life and it's cool to see the preferences. I love body baits. Flatlining old wee warts works great early, and later putting thundersticks deep on torpedo weights has been deadly for me. Nobody uses orange 00's and peanuts on Superior for some reason but I tried once and caught fish. I guess people use what they have confidence in.

I have done well on the 00's fire red and peanut flies on Superior, as well, while getting odd looks from the locals!LOL

@@johnkelley2201 Haha yeah I don't understand it up there. Some older trollers from Bayfield tell me the water stays too cold for coho flashers but I think that's just typical bar talk, and they just haven't tried it for themselves because they aren't comfortable with the rigging. I can imagine some of the looks you got haha! I always run at least one dodger rod now, and even started experimenting with small trout spinners behind boards and doing well.

@@tercelfish00 It was in Bayfield, where I was was fishing, as well. My friends live on Madeline island. They wanted to just use stickbaits, and literally started laughing when i put on the dodgers and flies, like they were from another planet. That all stopped when we limited out on cohos within an hour! Claimed they had never gotten their limit of cohos before!! LOL
