I actually was really excited for the austringer. They raised the sights on the eyasluna and it was hard for me to land shots, austringer doesn’t have that problem. Also the austringer has less visual recoil.
EXACTLY! Thats where real difference is for me! Visual recoil like dire promise and lower sight! That is honestly, with perks and stats ofc, what makes Austringer nr.1 HC for me
I honestly thought the snapshot change was just lowering the ads scalar to compensate for all sniper rifles being snappier, so instead of them being snappier and then having snapshot sights scaling massively on top of that (leaving snapshot sights still feeling mandatory), they just made it so that while snapshot sights still gives you the fastest ads speed, it's just *nice*, rather than mandatory.

But this also coincided with all sniper rifles ADS animation speed being increased (or time-to-ADS being decreased).
I understand why you want to stubbornly use stompees. But if you’re maining hand cannon - lucky pants just seem like the better choice at this point. Instead of -50 in air you get I think +20? Throw on icarus + the base 10ish of a purple hand cannon, and suddenly instead of having 0 air effectiveness you’ve got around 50. Combine thst with the swap/ready speed, and it just seems like the better choice on hunter nowadays.
Im pretty new to the game so i never really found out how to farm for the eyasluna. However i already got a red border austringer so im looking forward to being able to get something on par with the hand cannon that has killed me more than anything in crucible
I’m just glad you can craft it. I love Eyasluna and I would love to get a good roll, but I haven’t been able to. I’m hoping to get this crafted soon and hope it feels really good
@@brandonbauckman7383 riccochet = more stability = easier to shoot and slightly less flinch. High cal = flinch your enemies slightly more. Riccochet seems more worth it imo
Austringer is kinetic and has eye of the storm/rangefinder/opening shot and such, while Eyasluna is stasis and has headstone, perpetual motion, and moving target. Plus, Austringer has an origin perk and is craftable, while Eyasluna is easier to farm. Although the origin perk isn't super impactful in general. That's how they made them both different but good despite.. being literal variants the same gun. edit: e.g. I'd unironically prefer a Rapid Hit / Headstone eyasluna, because it blocks resses in elims and has stasis subclass synergy.
and just diving more into the differences. Eyasluna has random sights, Austringer has random barrels. Eyasluna does have better overall base stats, but I feel like Austringer has better non-stasis pve builds (Rampage and Frenzy for damage perks vs Harmony and Kill Clip). And of course the biggest difference of them all Austringer is better looking. And is one of the last remaining weapons that lets me flex my legendary weapon skin.
I have an Unrelenting/Headstone roll that I feel is hyper slept on. Completely disagree with this Wallah dude that they're basically the same gun. Also looking forward to crafting an Austringer.
Wallah! 2 tap dire promise! Simply use a swashbuckler dire promise, weighted knives for 1 hit melees, and the new fragment that gives radiant on charged melee damage. It all totals to a 45% damage buff, leading to 107 per crit 😎 got a roll you can use if ya’d like, posted the roll in discord
What's funny is I had the god roll already... from when I farmed it 2 or 3 years ago... still love it but why not just un-sunset weapons that are re-released like this. What would it hurt???
@@boner6003 Brother believe me, we always will, it could be one gun per season, if it looks cool or is meta, all our sorry a$$e$ will be there. The best thing this season imo is solar 3.0 and the universal ornaments in the season pass
cause it would piss off a lot of us that gave up on sunsetted weapons thinking the weapons were gone forever. They also changed up the perk pool so that you're not grinding for the exact same roll
honestly this new meta is really getting boring, everyone just lanes now since shottys are trash and you can't jump, im probably gonna take a break and come back in a few months if it gets better
@@bucks8428 i'd also say Austringer is the better pve option if you're not a stasis build. These two weapons feel different enough but I could see why the Eyasluna is potentially the better pvp gun. Has the edge in all of the stats except airborne effectiveness
@@TJskillz169 with enchanced perks the austringer gets 5 more stability and 5 less range, basically a wash. The airborne effectiveness vs aim assist also is basically a wash so it becomes entirely preference in perks like headstone or eye of the storm
Ok good it’s not just me then… we definitely need more ways to boost this new stat or guns should intrinsically come with more cause the game feels borderline unplayable for me

My first legendary drop from free roaming leviathan was an opulent key that dropped a full bore, hical, eots, rf, range mw austringer. Told my fireteam I finished the season
I have gotten better with 140s but I still would rather just a pulse rifle I have a godrolll eyeluna rangefinder moving target like it but I still prefer pulse for mid range
If you're on controller, it might be nicer to get an austringer because it can be crafted with max stability and zen moment, and then you can switch to something like rangefinder once you get used to it

Funny how they buffed solar hunter but nerfed bottom-tree warlock into the ground. No more explosions, phoenix dive instead of a rift, super duration perk gone, extra super damage with Dawn Chorus gone...yeah. Typical Bungo. Give something, take ten somethings away. The snapshot nerf is really bad. It's not even close to where it was, and why? No one asked for this.
i think imma go with the same roll i got on Cantata. Arrowhead/accurised/EOTS/rangefinder. I like my HC's snappy/controllable RD with the maximum range possible.(with a bit of reload speed) I hope it delivers like Cantata does

@@mercilesskills8442 I wouldn't say it's a complete waste of a perk but I do agree there are better options for the barrel perk and more noticeable improvements with others at that.
If you don't like the handling, I'm not quite sure why you call fluted just "okay." It's the best perk in slot (14 handling and 4 stability). Smallbore gives you less Than a meter. I can't think of many situations where I can't just move forward a little or find a better angle, but having that handling all the time is amazing imo.
They nerfed the rangs on almost all handcannons I have a god role pali and the first drop of this thing had more range and they took six range away from. Both eyesluna and hawkmoon
Hey Wallah, you should do the 2-Tap Ace build on hunter. If you use the radiant dodge, it gives 10% on top of Momento, so it deals 99 to the head. A lot of people are using Fr0st-ee5 so you can literally always have the damage boost from radiant up, because it makes the ability regen as fast as the buff ticks down.
I had two Austringers in Opulence... one for PvE, one for PvP. I racked up a lot of kills on then. They're both in my top 5 weapons of all time in their respective modes. But I still haven't gotten a new Austringer. The game is really doing me dirty. Drang, Drang, Drang, Beloved, Drang, Beloved, Drang, Drang Drang, Calus Mini-Tool (probably not THAT many, I exaggerated just to prove my point that my RNG has a hard-on for Drang).
I have had a rifled/accurized/eye/rangefinder/range mw since season of Opulence...only problem with it is that for some reason they decided to sunset it...oh wait, it's almost like they planned on releasing popular weapons again. Watch us get Spare Rations again, Bungie is great at recycling content and I think it's kinda sad that people don't seem to call them on it. I get that it's nice to have these guns back, but I don't think they should have gone away in the first place.
Why did I farm for Austringer? RNG on Eyasluna kept screwing me. The least it could do was use lube. Now, I can have a kinetic 140 that is completely suited to my liking, and in my mind, that's a major win.

Almost 300 menageries to get a decent roll cuz my luck is non existent just for them to give everyone who wants it a perfect roll. Ngl im glad I can get mine but at the same time what's the point of playing the game before if they put the weapons back like that
I just unlocked the craftable austringer and have a crafted mini tool as well that I’m enjoying a ton in pvp. The grind was worth it to me because I don’t have the GoA dungeon and can’t get eyasluna. My main HC has been a cantata til now. Walluh can you make a video on the mini tool with threat detector and feeding frenzy or threat detector eye of the storm? The cool thing about feeding frenzy is after a kill your reload becomes incredibly fast giving you access to a hail of bullets when you’re stringing kills. Edit, it can get about 20m of range just so you know ahead of time.
Base handling on all 140's was reduced, but it's just a visual change. DMG said weapon performance remains unchanged. That being said, austringer only has 3 less handling than Palindrome
I played all night and usually I get between 20 and 31 being my best in terms of kills in control. I know there are better players but something has changed in how the game feels and plays in the new season and I hate it. Nearly every match saw my team being mercied with randoms and the one match I did win my team beat the other team around 80 odd points Vs 18. Lots of cheaters on all sides. I had games where people were lagging badly, games where people were permanently invisible with a weird glitch outline. I had games where I hit people and melee hit them 3 times and they still wouldn't die and their health bar just shot up instantly. Worst was I got the same map cauldron 6 times in a row with the same people spawn killing as soon a sI pressed X. I even had a TM called Bulldozer who kept doing something to grief me as every match began bouncing me around. I don't know what he was doing but it was getting us both killed. I wasn't doing anything. The guy was just an A hole. I have had enough of the game. I also saw the season pass price has went up Vs what I paid for the last 2. Just sick of the game. So I uninstalled. It's just not fun anymore.

In my opinion, the “god roll” is actually Eye of the Storm/Frenzy. Frenzy activates while you’re in a gun fight, eye of the storm gives you more accuracy when your health gets low during a gun fight. So not only are you getting an insane handling/stability/target acquisition boost… but now you’re getting a damage boost from Frenzy. I get Range Finder is really good… but I’m really enjoying the Frenzy roll
@@animatesquid3779 I know, but I feel like the range is good enough for me the way it is. The extra range is overkill imo. If my opponent is really far from me, I try not to engage in a gun fight anyway. I’ll find other ways to approach them. With Frenzy, it proves perfectly for me in Trials when I have 3 guys trying to focus fire in my direction. By the time I get 2 taps at one of the targets, I’m in Frenzy. I’m doing extra damage, and I have a higher chance of winning a gun fight because of the faster handling, stability, and reload speed. I feel that’s so much more of an advantage than just a little extra range.
Austringers better looking imo plus I have ornaments so Ill take it over Eye lol. My godrolls pretty much the same as yours I just want snapshot instead of EOS.
I’d say the overall changes are good this season but I still don’t like the air accuracy changes. I feel the games based on jumping around, being grounded just makes gameplay feel more stale
1) it’s a kinetic not stasis weapon like eyasluna 2) not everyone has the anniversary pack, so not everyone has access to eyasluna 3) eyasluna isn’t craftable so it can’t get enhanced perk 4) eye of the storm
despite the enhanced perks, a good Eyasluna still beats it right out of the park honestly. However, I would like to see how Rampage performs on Hunters with Radiant. I know Radiant and Rampage x1 gives 10% buff in pvp and they both stacks. I've tested Radiant with Memento Mori and it deals 99 to the head so it can 2 head anyone below 6 or 7 resil I think

Honestly the two Barrel Options I'm looking at is either Fluted or Corkscrew as Corkscrew adds Range, Stability and Handling. Also don't overlook Flared Magwell as it can bump up your stability and Reload if needed as an alterative perk to Ricochet Rounds.
