This is the 5th Episode in a series describing the capabilities of the Godin Multiac Concert Grand SA Guitar. In this video we look at the playability as an acoustic/amplified instrument. The use of the 3 band EQ on the pre-amplifier. Listen to the sound of the guitar demonstrated through an AER amplifier using a Boss RC30 Loop pedal.

Very nice indeed. I'm just a wee bit past beginner and your vids have inspired to to work harder & practice smarter. I'm probably going to get a Godin/Gr 55 and learn to use it right along with learning to play guitar. As your other vids show.....this technology is something everyone has dreamed about for decades. Now it's here. Thanks for your hard work in these videos :)

Hi, I’ve watched both of your videos on this guitar and they are very well done. The only thing is out of the several videos about this guitar nobody has given an example of how the frequency selector switch works and sound between the 2 settings. Does it only work with the Din connection or is it used with both outputs?

Hi Andrew! Thanks for the video. Quick Q: how does the guitar sound when playing with headphones? Would you say it could annoy neighbours? Or is it safe to play in the evenings/mornings? Cheers!

It is a quiet instrument for practice. You will not need headphones, however if you are going through and amp, DAW or synth, you can plug in headphones then to hear the effected sound.

Not played one myself, but it does look good. If you get the chance to try out it out against other guitars, just to make sure. That would be my best suggestion. Wish you luck!

Beautiful arrangement and playing! If I may ask a question about the Multiac Andrew. How good does it sound when recorded? Does it have an authentic nylon sound when going direct into an interface and to your DAW? I have an electro acoustic nylon guitar and it is very disappointing when recorded direct. It sounds more like an electric jazz guitar than a classical acoustic no matter how much I tweak the EQs. If the Godin sounds good recorded then I'm very interested in getting one. Thanks in advance!

This guitar outshines any other,I bought a Grand Concert Nylon recently,For Classical Guitar {Playing, and it shows up all the other Guitars i have,Some Quite expensive Classical Guitars.

I love it for much of my studio work, however the sheer craftsmanship and sound quality from my custom made Trevor Semple Concert Guitar is my favourite. Glad you're loving it though.

Hello, I have just bought this instrument sight unseen and the action is very high like 3mm do you know if it can be adjusted with the SA pick ups?

I don't believe so. It would probably require a lowering of the nut end, but be careful as Classical Action should be higher to avoid fret buzz.

I have a multiac acs. I've come from playing a beat up cheap classical with low tension strings to this. I keep making the e and b strings jump from the saddles. Am I playing the guitar too rough?

I know it's a better guitar than the Cordoba Stage, but how do those two compare? The Godin costs 3 times more. Is it really 3 times better?

Does it sound (almost) like any nylon guitar without amp as well? I mean If sometime I just want to playing for fun with an acoustic friend player without amp?

It has a semi hollow body so does have a little projection, however, I would not tend to use it for this kind of work, unless i was just practising.

If you own one of these you will be spending most of your time faffing around with gadgets trying to get a decent tone. They always sound a bit naff. However if you can play well and you have expensive gear it’s just about acceptable.
