I hope when we get to see King Ghidorah (a three-headed dragon from outer space), the transformation for the suit actor is as simple as growing a long neck, and his arms become the two heads Also to answer Baz' question, some were also reawakened by nuclear tests like Anguirus, but some have existed even before humankind. In Mosura, aka Mothra's case, she's a divine goddess who is a big peacekeeper and protector of the planet. She's a monster who's on humanity's side pretty much, and fights to protect Earth from danger.
I think The Victim will be reborn as Mothra, a REAL Mothra without any suit. And she will be the one to stop and/or free Goji, or the Man in the Suit. It feels fitting. The transformation process was halted into something else, and this could be a deciding moment.
The ending was neat since with Goji vomiting blood is a bit of a callback to Shin Godzilla. In that movie Godzilla was rapidly growing and had a form with no arms and no scales. And he vomited ultra hot blood from his gills and mouth. Which is what this guy did. And also Baz talking about mini godzillaings also nearly happened in Shin Godzilla. After he was defeated by making Godzilla consume super cooling coagulants, freezing him up, at the end of the movie on his tail has these humanoid Godzilla looking creatures looking like it’s trying to escape.
The man in the suit spilled boiling bloob from his mouth. Blood is made of a normaly clear yellowish liquid called plasma. Plasma shares its name with one of the many states of matter, being reached at really high temperatures Godzilla in the movies is known for shooting a powerful plasma beams from his mouth The man in the suit is learning to do the same
I don't know if anyone else has said it but. The reason Godzilla came out and started wrecking shit in the first place after WW2 is because he was punishing Japan for taking part in the war at all.
That's only true for the Godzilla in the GMK movie, who was possessed by the spirits of Japanese soldiers who had felt forgotten by their countrymen and wanted revenge.
I love the idea behind it. Almost yokai in a sense. And you add enough to make it watchable without taking away from the horror. It's like watching with a friend.
small correction,(or I havent caught up yet, or missed something) The Man In The Suit is not a spirit, it is a normal guy who lost his family to the atomic Bomb, and why I assume he is still mourning is because the first Godzilla film came out in 1953, 8 years after Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
He knows theres a man in there. Hes basically saying that there is something else in the suit talking to the man possibly possesing him and might be the cause to what happened to the guy
I was surprised how much I ended up loving this series! You have to wonder if the series of events is just as painful or terrifying for the person inside the suit as much as it is for the people outside of the suit. Painful, probably, since his physical form molded with the suit itself. Another great video, Baz!
Always liked the concept that Godzilla was the embodiment of war’s devastation, growing more powerful as we develop more dangerous technology for warfare.
I find it interesting how this godzilla suit monster seems to be slowly turning into a monster from the radiation from the suit, which is kind of reflecting what happened to his family with the bombing of hiroshima and its nuclear effects. I cannot wait to see more from this story.
11:13 when you talk about that, there is actually a new Godzilla movie in December, it takes place after the bombing and turns out the bombing woke Godzilla up and now he is attacking. Its named Godzilla Minus One and the reason is after the bombing Japan was at it's lowest but because of Godzilla they went into minus
In the Godzilla movies his foes tend to be other mutated creatures, aliens, or giant robots. Mothra’s case is peculiar because she’s implied to be a goddess of the natives of Infant Island.
I think with the way the blood-vomit was BOILING apparently, that it was a try with Godzilla's fire-beam. But maybe it was a refrence to something else, along the lines of what you mean maybe
update: not fire-beam PLASMA beam, a commenter 1 comment down from yours on my screen shared their theory which makes mine make much more sense too! ill show you what the user said

@@Aven_colonthreein shin godzilla there was a deleted scene where one of godzilla's initial mutations vomits an acidic boiling blood and it melted tons of cars and the street it was on but got cut from the final movie. a bit of head canon for the scene is that it was possible foreshadowing to the atomic breath goji is known for
7:16 Here is what I'm getting so far. The man lost his family and somehow ended up in this unfortunate experiment under the guise of playing as an actor for Godzilla. He was still in mourning over the loss of his family and was bearing hatred against those who killed them. The radiation is mutating him in the suit to the point his skin nearly fuses with the entire suit. Its messed up his mind to bouncing between points of being docile and compliant to agro. I believe they somehow successfully cut him out of the suit but he has already mutated to look almost exactly the same as the monster. The flash of the camera after he was released from the suit sent him into agro and he killed the camera men and escaped. Still mutating and getting a little bigger. Thats why to the boy he looks similar to Godzilla but is not him because the skin is odd, in other qords more humanlike in beast form then the actual beast itself. This is just my opinion I could be wrong
For context, Mosura is the Japanese name of Mothra, another kaiju that appears in a Godzilla movie. I don't know all the details, so look it up if you want more information.
10:51 Baz pretty much described the plot of the new Toho Godzilla movie, Godzilla Minus One. According to the synopsis and tagline: “Post-war Japan had lost everything. They were brought to zero. Now, Godzilla will take them to Minus One”.
Baz to answer your question about where these creatures cam from most of them just well appeared the only monsters that is an exceptions are rodan and mothra who had their own separate movie until 1964
you should actually watch the new Godzilla: Minus one movie. Its a retelling/reimagining of the first Godzilla movie and is literally the exact explanation you gave about Goji at 10:37, to a tee
Some of the other kaijus in the Godzilla Universe had their own solo films, like Mothra and Rodan. While the other kaijus make their first debut in future Godzilla Films.
One thing. "mosura" in english is just mothra. Which is what we commonly call it. but you can go either way I don't really care. To put you on a bit of old lore for the first godzilla movies (showa era running from 1954-1975) A lot of the basic monsters you'll see come from earth. They all live on monster island. Mothra is from birth island where she's worshipped by the natives. as for other kaiju like anguirus and rodan (rodan being pronounced exactly how its spelled lol. He's a giant pterosaur) are all prehistoric beasts like godzilla. Godzilla is just about the only one that got nuked in the ocean and got his ass mutilated. That's the lore of the actual godzilla franshise. Although then again, godzilla's own story will depend on the version of godzilla you're looking at. but the showa era is sort of the base so you can follow it. Of course, other kaiju like mechagodzilla (first appearence being 1974) king ghidorah ("Gih-door-ah." pronounce the "I" in the name the same way you would pronounce "I" in any other word. like the way you pronounce the "I" in "is". three headed golden dragon, controlled by the x-illiens who are pretty much one of the biggest villains of the frnchise) megalon, (cockroach with drill hands first appearance 1973) and finally gigan (reptilian alien turned cyborg by the nebulans, first appearance 1972. Pronounced "guy-gan") there. I just gave you the biggest info dump of all time. now you at least know some basic kaiju. Godzilla, mothra, rodan, and anguirus. as for the villains you got gigan, megalon, mechagodzilla, and king ghidorah.
so, she will come out of the suit as a monster like a moth human??? because the suit is in a cocoon state and it's just a suit, so she is the one prob in the cocoon state.
at the start of the video you were talking about a spirit but it was actually an actor who family died in the bombs. there was radiatin in the suit which made his body expand and adapt to the shape of the suit
The person who is viewing these tapes in the series mentioned that they used to work for the company, but was fired for telling people, but I don't think they ever saw the Man In The Suit on set 🤔. They made friends with somelse before they left and the spy became their main source of the tapes.
6:20 to be fair in one of the pictures the suit looked as if it was just a foot or so below a street light which is definitely not 7 ft so perspective is a little messed up
Okay i just watched ur on this series and i felt like there wasnt going to be a part 2 to this until next week and then i see this witch came out 3 HOURS AGO. THANK YOU for covering this SERIES. So i don’t crap myself trying to watch it!
7:46 A mind of child might have not developed that type of fear yet. It is pretty normal plot for any kind of horror theme that children see sometimes differently that is supposed to be disturbing to normal people.
I really enjoy watching these videos, they're very interesting thanks to you! And I remembered what the moth creature's name is, it is Mothra, I remember it from the newest Godzilla movie.
I wonder if the Ghostbusters and Godzilla stories will somehow exist in the same universe? I can't wait! This series has been a personal favorite for sure ❤
You should watch more godzilla content i have a feeling you'd love it. also the actual actor loved being godzilla the film crew nicknamed him goji. gojira is actually the real name of godzilla godzilla is what americans called it and it stuck. the mothra suit wasn't a thing they used animatronics and puppets i think. Godzilla suit actor Kenpachiro Satsuma's first film he was struck with appendicitis and had to be operated on while inside the suit. his appendix messed up
Godzilla was the only one made by the atomic bomb at that time and in that timeline (there's like 50 timelines). Motha is a guardian monster of an island and the Amarillo (my families nickname for him and I'm not looking up the spelling) is a dinosaur.
11:09 "[...] and u r just recovering. And then this Eldritch being comes out of the ocean and starts destroying u even more" Little did he knows that's actually the plot of the upcoming movie Godzilla Minus One
Good new entry into the series Baz! Just a question did you see the episode with King Kong in it or not? Because if you haven’t then you might be missing out on a few details.
I love how, over the course of all of this, the protagonist making these tapes stops referring to TMITS as he or him and starts calling him an it or a beast/creature.
this is one of the most interesting and unique analog series ive seen.I like the fact the man in the suit infects everyone and turns them into the kaijus from the show which i find cool.
I can definitely correct your theory on how goji was created (and yes, this is actually how he was created I’m pretty sure): The people of Japan started to dump some nuclear waste into the ocean, this radiated the creatures of the ocean, creating an odd whale hybrid. This odd whale hybrid with the rest if its species would thrive around the ocean, all until Japan had nuked the ocean. Godzilla was the only one left to live, he now roams the land of Japan seeking revenge.
I feel like the only episode you haven’t seen yet was the kong episode in which I think is only accessible to watch in America cause most people from other countries don’t have access to it (probably because of a copyright claim)
I'm a bit late on this, but i loved Godzilla and watched all the og movies growing up. i remember a few and how they came to be. Godzilla: He was formed from the radiation from bombings in ww2. Afterwards, he would live inside Mt. Fuji awaiting for a disturbance in Nature. Godzilla is seen as a protector of Earth and when a new monster reawakened or came to Earth, she would reawaken to protect earth. (Keep in mind she doesn't reallllllllly care about mankind only about earth which is why she destroys stuff in her fights. It's not intentional. it just happens.) (Also i refer to Godzilla as a she because in the old ones, she gave birth to a baby Godzilla. And they called her a she in the old ones.) Angurius: He was a monster that lived inside earth since it was created, but after the bombings the radiation reawakened him, and thus Godzilla reawakened to put him in his place. King Ghidora: He is a hydra like monster that was born in space. I can't remember what exactly cause him to come to Earth, but when he did, Godzilla reawakened to fight him as well. Hedora: They are a sewer/sludge monster born from it mixing with the same radiation that created Godzilla. MechaGodzilla: In the original he was created by humans because they were tired of her wrecking shit and wanted to create something that could stop her thinking "they could just take on all the monsters on their own if they defeated Godzilla." They were immediately proven wrong in the first one, and in the second, it was piloted by Humans and assisted by an AI once again being defeated. After that they just let Godzilla do her job. Space Godzilla: Another Kaiju that came from outerspace. Basiclly he was created by a mixing of Biollante's cells and and Godzilla DNA. It went through a blackhole and an unknown lifeform spliced and mixed their cells and dna together and out came SpaceGodzilla. Biollante: I actually didnt know about this one till I was looking up how Space Godzilla was created. Its a Giant flowery rose like Kaiju. And im not entirely sure how this thing was created so I'll get back to you on this one. This is all I have for now so I'll get back to you if i find anymore.
Bro you came in clutch today I watch your series like around 9:00 in the morning to only see 12 hours later that you release the threed part of the series.
I have a theory to why the woman in the larva suit went to its cacoon state. So when TMITS bit the Mothra puppet he still had a bit of the fabric of the puppet in his teeth, so when he bit the larva suit the infection was in his salyva and thats why she was in a cacoon, atleast thats my theory.
Hey baz not sure if you’ll see this but there is one more video. I think it’s the third video in the series and it introduces the protagonist and why he’s there. It isn’t necessary to understand the story but would definitely give you some more context. Love the video!
I feel like the gojira ‘vengeful spirit’ as you put it, is all the victims of Hiroshima, and the ‘radiation’ and melting in the suit is a reference to the nuclear bomb annihilating the victims.
9:39 Mosura is known in the West as Mothra. Just so you know And I have a strong suspiciun that it was originally an animatronic hung by string (yes there were animatronics, or at least robots at this Time)
Yes it’s scarier but regular Godzilla could just crush the building you in. I see where you’re coming from though, it would definitely be scary being chased into a building by a mini zilla
@@blakebenskin1969 It would be more personal that way. Being crushed inside a building is terrible yes, but it's over in a moment. This Godzilla would be chasing you for God knows how long.. with those eyes...
As a child that was born mid 70s and grew up with VHS and analogue TV, I always find it SUPER annoying that every analogue horror creator puts these 'damaged tape' and 'dirty heads' effects on everything. NOBODY watched VHS tapes like that.....if a tape played like that, you got out the head cleaning tape real quick, plus virtually all VHS players made from the late 80s onwards had auto head tracking.....specifically so you never had those lines across you screen or those jitters etc etc. Seriously, you would be surprised at just how good the picture was with a good VHS player and a good TV. And espescially when it came to deep blacks and heavily shadowed stuff.....even high end 4k digital still suxs when trying to do deep blacks with subtle contrast. (Actually, I was annoyed when the first gen of digital TV came out with the reallllly obvious pixelation etc etc.....after 20 years of digital, I feel that we are only just sorta at the point where analogue was at before we ditched it......same goes for film cameras...digital cameras are only just barely capable of what a good SLR was capable of with 100iso film.....and its still doesnt look as good)
Godzilla (Gojira) of course came from Gojira 1954, Angirus came from Godzilla Raids Again (Gigantus The Fire Breathing Monster) 1955, and Mothra (Mosura) came from Mothra 1961 but first Godzilla film was Godzilla vs Mothra 1964 also before Godzilla vs Mothra 1964 was King Kong vs Godzilla 1962 but I guess they VHS creator just wanted to skip King Kong which King Kong was the inspiration for Godzilla
The man in the goji suit has now started to show familiar characteristics to kamata-kun and shinagawa-kun, as both of these kaiju are deformed flesh beasts that also projectile vomit out boiling blood (as seen here). You should search them up sometime Baz.
Hey Baz great vid I love this series I have a theory when Godzilla bites and kills thing then turn into another person in a suit meaning that he has the power to turn other people into people in the suir like the larva person and the other one. I love you Baz!!!
10:50 That's literally the plot of Godzilla Minus One Japan had only just started recovering from rock bottom/absolute zero Then Godzilla shows up, making things worse and thus below zero; minus one
FYI Baz Godzilla (Japanese) is supposedly an irradiated Gojirasaurus on an island encountered by WWII Japanese soldiers, Mothra is an ancient benevolent deity, and Anguirus is an ancient awakened dinosaur from Siberia.
looking forward to see what they do with king ghidora. i can totally see 3 people being crammed into the suit and having all their minds melded together into a horrible meat collective.
I was scrolling through the comments of the Angurius video and the creator replied to one of the comments confirming that the two people arguing in the description were the Man in the Godzilla Suit and The Man in the Angurius Suit, not the Godzilla Suit and the Man trapped inside of it.
