If it blooms and sets fruit early, and ripens early- it might just be the tomato variety for me here in Holland. Short growing season, better to have ripe tomatos than to have slightly bigger ones that have to ripen in the windowsill...

I planted Everglades Tomatoes this year. A currant sized tomato. They're low maintenance, ultra productive, and pest & disease resistant.They grow wild in the Everglades. A sprawling plant. Fruits early & often. You'll never go hungry, if you grow them.

Might try this some time, wonder how it deals with colder climates & shorter season? never heard of anyone growing them but it sounds like they're prolific and early which is often good for milder climates.

Hi Ross, if u breed your tomato seeds till F7 (generation 7) its heirloom.

@@RossRaddi If u cross P generation, there is a uniform F1. From the F1 u will get a lot of different F2 plants. This is why people say it’s not good to take seeds from F1. U don’t know what u will get. But if u do and every generation u select the best tomato. U will see that every generation give more uniform plants. For tomato it’s know at F7 u have enough homozygous so u get Heirloom.
