I have only started watching this show the last couple of months through reruns. It is hilarious, and I am hooked!

The Goldbergs became my favourite show on tv so quickly! I found myself always saying “JTP” after Barry says it 😂

Only time this show bugged me was there was a mention of David Kim and Adam saying he never hung out with him again and then the show proceeds to have him in the show many more times.

I was most disappointed to find out Erica is really a dude cause I'm like totally in love with her. That dynamic is kinda ruined now.

How about a part 2 focusing on the non-family characters, like the members of the JTP, Adam's friends, the characters' love interests, etc?

As a child of the 80's, I watch this show because I like the nostalgic references. What's funny to me is when I see mistakes in the show. Every episode say's it was "1980-something". The show generalizes without mentioning a specific year. So if the characters are living in the 80's, you would not expect to see things from the 90's. Sometimes I see toys from the 90's in the background. One was an Ultimate Warrior wrestling buddy with the World Championship around his waist, which he didn't win until 1990. That doll could not have been available until he won the belt. I also remember an episode where Adam said he was going to his friends house to play Super Mario 3. This game wasn't released until 1990. I also remember a scene where Adam was standing in line to see ET in the theater. He mentioned ALF during the scene. This is also wrong because ET was released in theaters in 1982, and ALF didn't begin until 1986.

RIP Doc Goldberg! He took care of me and my entire family for so many years. The greatest doc in the world. I definitely miss him.

I'm a 80's kid at heart I'll be 48 in July and love the show, Beverly reminds me of my no late Mom vassa. She unfortunately died on October 16, 1988 at 38 years old from a brain aneurysm in her sleep and I was 16 when I found her.

Nice and interesting! This is a minor quibble but since it's about him and by him; are Adam's glasses accurate? They look so non 80's to me. More late 90's early 00's

My question is...Is Kimberly and Lainey, the same person? Barry's actual wife, Kimberly. Didn't want anything to do with the show. Then it became what it is. I've had this theory that they created Lainey in Kimberly's likeness. Then she was ok with it. Then "Kim" appeared.

Boy, would I love to hear my favorite character Pops get interviewed! 😍 The man's a legend, my personal favorite among all grandpas on American tv (funnily enough, cause we're talking about a real-life character)! 👏🏻 Obviously, he would be like 120 know, so we'd have to time travel for an interview! By the way, whenever real footage of his pops came up, I always had a feeling the man ended up having (something like) Alzheimer's in reality. If you look closely, he seems a tad out of touch with his environment in some of the later home footage. Maybe only I see that since we've had cases in our family! Anyhow, what a unique grandpa - grandchild dynamic! 🙏🏻

This show is so crazily good. To think I though nah when I first saw it the. Saw how much it reminded me of when I was growing up. The crazy games and relationships are spot on. It just goes to show getting rid of what made you who you are is not always a good thing lol

Love the show !!The music, movies and sports players are all accurate. Just one big, recurring problem on most every episode...when the show starts it says its , for instance, it December 10th 1980 something . I know it's based in Pennsylvania but when it says December, then they show outside and its sunny and trees are green. People are wearing shorts and summer ware. Wheres the SNOW !!!

I noticed that the show, (whilst entertaining and fun to watch) slowly moved away from the reality of Adam’s childhood. It moved from recreating memories and showing the camera footage at the end to a wild, kooky family recreating classic 80s movies. That’s why I love the beginning of the show more than I love the end of the show. You can almost pinpoint the moment in the series when Adam Goldberg ran out of footage and ideas and it’s honestly really sad! A lot of shows do this however, going from relatable and raw to outrageous and extreme. (Note the change from The Office US season one to season nine) When shows get a bigger audience and better production quality, the characters become extreme, the plots become ~more exciting~ and the atmosphere is changed, mostly for the worst.

goldbergs is one of my favorite shows of all time. I also think that its pretty cool that Adam Goldberg was a screenwriter for one of my favorite movies. One of the most underrated movies of all time Aliens in the attic. I dont like the alien part of the movie that much but everything that has to do with Ricky makes up for it.
