On the second episode of 'The Golden Bachelor,' Marina was noticeably absent from the mansion, despite being given a rose during the show's season premiere. In the wake of her absence, ET has learned why the 60-year-old contestant chose to step away from the show. 'The Golden Bachelor' airs Thursdays on ABC.

So incredibly refreshing after all these years to have a Bachelor season with real people. No superficial, selfish, backstabbing 20-somethings creating chaos and drama for 15-minutes of fame. Instead we now have kind, mature people who appear to really want love and companionship.

I used to watch a few of the original The Bachelor shows with my daughter,and said ABC's Real demograhic is Over 50. When you're young...life is adventurous and part of that is meeting ppl/dating/etc. 63yrs.strong it was a FUL and Unpredictable journey...Bravo ABC finally getting it right!Enjoyable watching💜

Facts! I didn’t think I would enjoy this new season/concept of this show. It’s refreshing to see a group of adults who know what they want…Even so, the women seem to support each other even though only one woman will win Gerry’s heart at the end.
