About This Release:
"When I got introduced to electronic produced music by the end of the 1990s, mainly sample based music, I first listened to releases which are now rated as classics, but there was one release, one song in particular that has been stuck in my head since then.
A dear friend of mine had all this music at that time. Music dubbed out in DC, grand love stories, wild motherfucker dubs and all the funkjazztical tricknology that came out of London. And there was this one producer and musician from Japan who was very active during the mid-1990s and was also part of this scene, and my friend had these two EPs of his, Child's View Remix and the For Tomorrow EP by Nobukazu Takemura; who released his debut album Child's View in 1994, along these two EPs before and after and then got eventually more into Ambient and Soundscape music with his follow up albums and was kind of disappearing in the downtempo/electronic scene.
But the original version of his track For Tomorrow I can't get out of my head for decades now. Every time when I hear the guitar intro of it, fond memories come up. And ever since I knew this song, I knew I would like to make something similar. Jazz influenced and spiritual driven downtempo music. The years passed by and I never really managed to follow this idea. But after more than two decades this idea found its way back when I was starting to work on Worlds Within and I saw the similarities. Worlds Within therefore marks the starting point for me to work on more music like this under the Golden Shadow name."
