Maybe an excellent set of tires would be money well spent? Though I'm not familiar with the condition of this motorcycle. I just know I've had my butt saved by that extra $150-300 more than once, and have never regretted it. There have been many times I've thanked my past self for saving me the insurance premium, or out of pocket collision repair, or my personal safety. .... There's nothing quite like those sobering few minutes of riding in quietness after you make a bone-headed move, or hit a patch of sand/slick pavement/etc., or come up on something unprepared I don't know how to balance rain vs road vs dirt though Safe rides & hope fall is excellent weather for everyone
The guy I bought it from was pretty excited about the tires - I forget what's on it... but yeah - I'll do some research before I get the next set for sure. I agree - spend some money. Anytime I'm on the highway I always think about how bad a day a blown tire could cause. I sure don't think i can change these myself - I'm sure it'll be expensive at the dealer!
HHH here. Sounds like my playlist lol. On the slow riding stuff… have Johnny pow ride trials bikes with ya. I used to own a couple trials bikes. Those skills will absolutely transfer to all other motorcycles. In short. Throttle. Clutch and both brakes at slow speeds. Keep up the good work man. Dig your humor. You could ride a horse and I would still watch your videos haha.
You really need to check your mileage against actual gallons put in and miles. I consistently 38-40. Quit going by fuel gauge. Mine at a quarter tank, I sill have 3 gallons in the tank, when the low fuel light comes on, I still have a gallon.
I use Fuelly for that stuff. I think I'm just still in that new "First time in a long time with a bike with some power so twist that throttle constantly" phase...
Ang, how do you pass one of the most interesting things on the side of the road I’ve ever seen and NOT COMMENT on it??? At 33:06 someone appears to be selling a “Herbie the love bug” pontoon boat!!!!! HOW DID YOU MISS THAT??! 😂. Great fun going along on all of your adventures and getting motivated to get out and see something new on two wheels.
Love the old time rock and roll!! Don't listen to music when I ride. I find it a destration. But that's just me. Love what you do Ang. I'm really glad you love your Goldwing. Enjoy brother enjoy. 😁
I invented the wheel and fire too! ha! I'm delusional. I went through a few months where I really really wanted to manage e.z. shakes... I feel like I have an inner Peter Grant that needs to come out at some point...
Lots of talking points here, I gotta go with The Cars, I agree completely they were killer and really unique in their time. Their debut album is basically a greatest hit album. Thanks!
No big deal. It won't fall all the way over. I dropped my 1800 turning around on a busy road in Tennessee mountains and first people to see it were a group of harley riders😅 now i will tell you it is still heavy machine to get up right! Safe riding! Im with you on South and North Carolina. North Carolina anytime! I live 40 miles from Georgia coast and the older i get the less i appreciate it.
Dudley Doright with Snidley Wiplash. That’s the route I take when riding to Pawleys Island and Murells Inlet. I also ride 97 around Lake Wateree on my way to Asheville or the BRP. It would have been much nicer if you hadn’t been stuck behind that tanker. You most likely went down 261 and through Wedgefield where I lived for about 20 years. Excellent music selections. Nice video!
Just say no marionette shows, now you've got me laughing! Ailment discussions, you've touched on some truths in my life. Oh, and the music talk. Now you're talking my language. Even though I'm a fellow motorcycle rider, I'd be better able to talk with you about music than motorcycles. The Cars, BOMB! I saw them years ago and they were tight. You also mentioned the Violent Femmes. I heard that the way they were discovered was they were busking outside of a concert while attendees were waiting in line to get into the venue. Milwaukee, I think. In any case, apparently the people with whatever group was playing the concert saw the Femmes and decide to help them out. That's the story I heard. I hope it's true!
I started watching your channel again because of the Goldwing. I hope you do more. I kinda liked the RE, but not enough to watch all the time. Not like the Trail. I watched all of those many times.
Ang, may be on to something with your comment who watches Gold Wing Vids. Main reason I finished was your copyright strikes, and the intro which you keenly waited to the end to reveal.
