Some graphic elements are amazing but I wish it had the EA Sports feel to it. Actual real golf announcers, moving realistic crowds (walking on paths), better and more realistic crowd reactions, and just the feel of an actual sports game. EA was the best at this. I’m still playing Rory pga tour. I can’t tolerate the last GC release unfortunately.

This is disappointing. Very unnatural looking. Looks like a photograph, with still grass, terrible rendering, stiff player transition animations and bad ball physics. It looks the ball is floating over the course and not rolling on a course. Nothing is connected. Take a look at Everybody's golf and see a living, interactive course. So boring and a shame the PGA license and great brands are wasted on this. So bad.

So golf games have not advanced at all in 20 years gotcha!

Sounds good but looks comparable to like tiger woods 13 on xbox 360. Even the motion cap looks clunky

Does this game not utilize spin? Wedges don’t roll out 25 feet from 100 yards out. You have to play for a roll out every hit? That’s annoying

Why are they still making the same game? Same crappy physics, same crappy trees, same crappy shadows, same crappy commentary. Its basically identical to their last game with a better resolution. Come on step your game up!

Custom Swing needs to be added. Also, would be great to have mini games like Putt-Putt courses- that by doing helps your putting a little.. same with a driving range. Allows you to get your swing down better and more consistent. The graphics look amazing and I’m excited ! But not sold on this yet because golf just isn’t the 18 holes.. you have to practice a ton and if they are going “realistic” needs to be added. Also, a in-depth player customization.

Please just do us all a favour and bring back Tiger Woods. There hasn’t been a decent game released since, Rory Mcilroy was a complete disaster

Agree with comments around the game being a little lackluster. Graphics are great, but all the greens seem the same and flat as a lake. The commentary is very average as well. Think the crowds could be better [p;aced around the course. Its not like you have a huge crowd on every hole in real life. Noticed also you can win a title by being tied first? Would be much better to have play-off holes in these situations.

This game is a snore... holy crap it’s like a weird, whispery, low energy bore fest. It’s a game not a primer for a nap

First impressions are they dumbed the game down and went to the same UGLY Green color palette that EA was using making the game look like an ugly sea of green and not realistic looking whatsoever. I'll probably check this out once it goes on sale. But so far it seems like they put all their eggs in the PGA license basket and not much else. "Everyone's Golf" on PS4 is a better golf engine by far, looks amazing graphically and doesn't have all the clipping, stuttering and tearing the Golf Club games have.

I hate the commentary. I can’t believe they haven’t changed it. It was the worst part of the last game and they just ruined this one too.

Everybody’s golf PS4 #1 20 bucks as well and you have a cart and can fish and swim And walk each and every hole of you want too. Online multiplayer and it’s a decent fast paced challenging game.

Swing still looks robotic and unnatural, but I love the new fairway camera angle on some of these holes. I lile the look of the hud as well, looks nicer. Like others said, I hope there are different styles of play for more casual and arcade aka easier less simulation style play from the previous games.

I dont watch or play golf in real life but for some strange reason I find golf games so satisfying. I loved Everybody's Golf & The Golf Club 2 so I'm really excited for this release.

So this game looks worse than the last EA sports golf game from 2014. How did you dupe the PGA to get the license? Well it appears I'm also not buying a new Golf game this year either. 10 minutes of game play and all it shows, is it's a game that doesn't look fun. I mean come on. You couldn't get one PGA tour announcer to endorse this? Just some dude in your office with the weakest commentary. Hard pass, no thanks

Don't be fooled by the PGA license. It only covers the use of a few courses. PGA golfers won't even be on the game. This will be a massive flop.

Wouldn't it make sense to add an animation to have the player walking towards the hole to pick the ball out of the cup after a putt rather than just awkwardly standing there? Also if this is an officially licensed PGA Tour game how about the ability to actually hit it the distance of a tour player.

I was done when he hit sand wedge on the front of the green and it rolled past a middle pen location.

This game looks worse than T Woods 2014. This is incredibly horrible. The mechanics of that swing, the way it rolls through the rough. What a disaster. Please, dear God please EA come back and save us.

Sigh, another golf game where the ball physics are just wrong. A sand wedge hit by a tour pro out of the fairway is going to have enough spin to check back, or one hop stop. Not roll out 20-30 feet.

This seems horribly disappointing. Ball physics look horrible, presentation looks bland, and the announcing is like a Canadian elephant dart to the face. Truly hope this is faaaar from final product.

Looks awful! 100 yard SW onto a dry green and it doesn't spin back in fact it bounces forward a good few yards and rolls out......5 wood off the tee and he takes a divot like he's using a PW......Won't be going anywhere near this

the physics look pretty crap... I always seem the best / most realistic physics from the arcade style golf games. Hot shots golf / everybody's golf has the best physics I've seen (minus the crazy power/spin shots)

Noooooo. Lol no. The swings look so slow and un-athletic. I will be bored with this after like 2 rounds. With EA the players had their swing and you could feel the violence of the contact. Big pass for me and I love and breathe golf

Great to see some video of the game. The commentary is about the same as the last two games, can always improve that but I'd rather see some crowd UI adjustments and different animations along with excitement depending on the shot. (just like real life). Also noticed you can win tourneys by tieing for the lead? Hopefully that will get changed. Hoping the online play against friends improves a lot. Didn't play last years at all because of how bad it was. That will be a make or break for me this year again. Overall the game looks like it improved from last year but it had to with a PGA license now?

A question. I have the 2017 version of this game on the PC, and I remember I struggled with swinging. I had to put in a PS4 controller and it didn't always work on the PC. Does TGC 2019 have a more mouse friendly swing method?

They should focus on improving the ball physics and the presentation (make it less bland by improving commentary and fans) and then improve the ball physics by adding far more natural spin to the wedges etc

Can’t wait to buy this been waiting for years for a pga licensed golf game. That being said, I feel trees and landscape seem a little well unnatural... as in zero movement in trees. Also the crowd seems a little zombie like. Stuff stuck in place. Crowd cheers only couple of people clap. Just really seems like they aren’t fully using the power of current gen systems and capabilities. Single player mode seems like it’s going to be awesome! And menu presentation and Vice as a sponsor is super cool. Like I said stoked to play just wish they would really get into the details more than not.

I sure hope they have different styles of swing or some degree of customization...otherwise, the courses look great. Right now I don't see enough flare in the game to pull the trigger unless my avatar can be customized and I can build all my favorite courses.

the only fun part of golf games is playing with friends on the same console...we used to get so blazed and play Tiger Woods PGA 2012.

Great graphics and scenery. The swing looked a little wonky and did I see a divot off of a drive?

So on this game I keep hooking it right. No matter what I seem to change the same thing happens. Not only just drives, but irons even go wildly right. What in the world could I be missing? I don't understand the shot thing either. Often it seems to look great on it straight and all but still the hook. I don't understand how the backswing and downswing are affecting the shot also. Any tips are appreciated.

What pisses me off most about The Trash club series of games is the arrogance of the developers and their downright nasty attitude to their customers. I remember when the first Trash Club came out there was an overwhelming demand for a 3 click swing system. The devs basically said fuck you, it is our game and you will play it how we tell you too.

This commentary is a placeholder, right? It's laughably poor here. The rest of the presentation seems fine, if a bit bland. After playing last year's game, I wasn't really not a fan of how it played. It skewed heavily toward the simulation aspect, making it very difficult for new or casual players. I'll be curious to see if this has been adjusted at all.

Those are badly outdated graphics damn. It looks like a 10 years old game.

golf games haven't really developed much in 15 years, the old tiger woods games from a decade ago are much the same as this.

Might just be me, but it seems kind of bland and average... I'd think with PGA licensing they'd have current announcers (your have to have Roger Maltbie, Larry Nance and David Feherty), better gallery movement and sounds etc. Also, a divot with driver off the tee-really? I really hope this design is in it's infancy and not yet ready for release. The programmers need to get more input from from people who actually golf and/or step away from the computer, get outside and go to a PGA tournament. If the designers actually went to a PGA tournament, they'd have a better idea of the sights and sounds that happen when a player eagles #13 at Augusta on Sunday to take the lead-not all great shots get the same enthusiasm. Yes, I know it's a video game, but with PGA on it, people will be expecting more. Give me a call if you need a consultant, I'll point you in the right direction.

Golf games are going backwards. This looks horrible. The ball physics are a complete joke with 50 feet of rollout on a wedge, putting still looks unimproved from TCG1 (like a complete nightmare), the single full swing shown is rigid and stiff, and I can't watch any more of this.

Ive seen better animations in Tiger Woods 2008.... The character animations look like a beta build. After watching this $20 still seems way over priced.

I predict ..if the reviews are good... 2k will slap the 2k name to the head of the title and let visual concepts team take over development of the game .. Golf club 2k20 I predict it .. 2k is talking about expanding their brand ..the stop sleeping on ip’s fools topspin tennis 2k20 Nhl2k20 Mlb2k20

One thing I don't miss from the Tiger Woods series is the Arsenio Hall crowd yelling "Get in the Hole" with every shot. but in this video the crow is pretty quiet and stagnate and not like a current PGA crowd at any current event. The need to up the volume, just don't make them over the top. Definitely need better commentary if this is going to carry the PGA license. But it's a start! Cheers! :)

The website does a good job of hyping people up with new features, but until they upload or stream gameplay with thorough anaylsis of the new additions, most people including myself will pass. The game loos the exact same as 2. Nothing here is immersive.... the crowd looks like ps2 or worse graphics...like this is all we get for a golf game in 2018... More people would play this game if it was even remotely immersive. Not to mention fun and intuitive gameplay...

HB..please give us some spin control back..please!! The lob wedge is usless! No back spin!! We had it but you guys took it away why??? All the short irons are useless without back spin so please fix that and the load time for alternate team really sucks!!

This just looks like the fucking knock-off Tiger Woods game. What made the game was the minimalistic HUD. I wanted the challenge, not setting I can turn on or off.
