I’ve played this game for 20 hours now, and I think it’s a really good game. It’s not like EAs golf games, where you can just birdie every hole and shoot 54 for your round. This game is a lot more challenging and more realistic, any round under par is a challenge especially if it’s windy. You can’t just increase stats like on EAs games, so that every shot goes in the hole. But when you do get the hang of this game it is a lot more rewarding when you hit good shots. Anyone who is into golf, I would recommend buying this

very true, I was very skeptical because all the reviews but after playing this game, its all incorrect. If I shoot under par, I made some tough putts and chips, just like real life. It is so rewarding when you pick the right line or club and lands inches or feets away, gold and that's why you play golf in real life.

This is a great game. I played the 2018 version and it was a hit with my family. We all had a lot of fun playing it in 2 player mode with dual controllers.

Just downloaded this yesterday and I love it. I heard the back swing can be tweaked thru advanced settings, so I'm gonna give it a try. You can also edit the computer characters into real golfers.

Agreed on the attention to detail as a local down the road from TPC Deere Run I am mind blown just now spot on it exact every detail is of that course! It's seriously like your on the course it's so spot on exact

While not a perfect simulation of how real golf is played with regards to spin being able to stick wedges and short irons, I do like the challenge of this game. I feel like I need to think my way through shots and am rewarded when I execute well, and penalized when I don't. I often get tired of golf games where it's more just "point and shoot" and so long as you swing perfect you're pretty much guaranteed to be within 5 feet of the cup. This game isn't for everyone...but I do like it.

I have all three. This one's great too. My only complaint is what they changed on chip shots. I'm having a really hard time performing good chips in this game. But there are usually dozens of ways to play a particular shot so it doesn't matter too much.

How can this have a PGA license but no PGA golfers? And a limited amount of official courses? People bashed the last EA golf title because of limited courses but I still found it enjoyable. I appreciate the realism and simulation aspect of Golf Club but arcade style and manipulating your shot mid-air to me is the most fun way to play. The old Tiger games still hold up to this day.

Putting a bit unforgiving? That's the a bit of an understatement. You have to be right on the money EVERY putt. But realistically that's how real putting is for the most part. I will say some of the speeds and angles on the greens are often quite harsh but that's really the only complaint from me.

I bought the first one on PC. Was forced to enable 32bit mode or the game wouldn't run, after an update 6 or so months after release. They NEVER fixed that issue.... I just wish PGA tour would come back to PC damn it!

Are you f*(&ing kidding me, a simulation? This is a dumbed down version of previous TGC games. Swing interface is nerfed, no longer can you skillfully hit a draw/fade based on swing axis, instead you set the shot shaper, then take the same dead straight perfect tempo stick movement for every damn shot. Backspin is essentially non-existent, even with short irons because that was how HB Studios opted to fix the short game issues (too much spin retention on flops, bunker shots). TGC2019 is the MOST arcade style golf game out there right now because that's what the console kids want. Truly sad because the original had so much potential but as is common with many software developers, they bend at the knee to their developer:(.

Stringbean i think he has a bit of a point though man. i play golf, i watch golf, and hes right. golfers change their tempo slightly, move their body and point their club in different directions when executing certain shots, etc. i like them game, but wouldn't say its not a bit arcadey at times. they tried their best though

I'm not a golf fan and want the old golf game mechanics that give me bars to hit. I don't want to work on my in-game stroke or deal with unforgiving greens. Also, what is the point of leveling up if your golfer's skills don't improve? It also evidently has terrible commentary. This is a clear pass for this non-golfer gamer. Thanks for the video!

It probably costs alot of money to get real licensed players, and be represented well in the game. Golf games aren't exactly that popular either, so you can't expect the sales to cover those costs.

I have loved golf game since the first Tiger game. But it really feels like we hit the Apex of what you can do with a golf game a decade ago. I just don't know what more can be improved aside from not madden-ing it up and screwing with the career mode! 6 pga courses?!? No majors?!? No thanks.

I get that this is a small company and I love this game so far. That being said there are things that are lacking. The game feels “empty”. Lack of music, real pros, real courses, real brands is kind of disappointing. The physics are awesome. I have no complaints there. But there needs to be more to keep someone engaged.

I own all 3 installments and I do agree. I am really excited for the future now that 2K is onboard, I doubt they had any real impact on this installment. Check out TGCtours.com, that is where I've had all my fun with The Golf Club. It is totally free and it is just adds an incredible amount of immersion for me to work my way up through the virtual tours playing against real people every week.

@@Ruskieit you have tonuse the loft feature aggressively to affect any stoppage with short to mid irons. Once you get the hang of the distance drop off that loft takes away, you'll begin to have more fun.

In game presentation needs work but having been an old TW Golf player on highest difficulty and getting-20 in 1 round this game is refreshingly challenging. Very good game and I like the fake courses as the real courses are played out.

The game seems cool enough. Seems like they've made jumps with each installment but PLEASE PLEASE improve the graphics. It's hard to take serious sometimes. The backswing looks really bad and every installment I hope they address it but they don't. Visually it throws me off. I think i've been spoiled by Rory PGA Tour 15 but at least this franchise's gameplay has taken good steps at improving.

World Golf Tour looks much better, as you'd expect given it's photographic. Gameplay looks okay though. Saw this on Steam at a reduced price but I think I'll stick with WGT.

This is a great game! It's more a simulation. All who don't like this game ether play arcade games (easy) or played it for only a few hours and quit because they didn't master it. People! This game is as real as you can get without playing a real game of golf. It's not easy. You have to practice, practice, practice! Just like in real golf, the way you swing the club, the tempo of your swing, your backswing , your follow through, all determine how the ball leaves the club face. The wind speed and direction, even the elevation of the green play into it.

The problem is with playing with a mouse and keyboard on PC, everything is fine, until the game decides you had a super slow swing or one that went all over the place, or super fast, when it's obviously not what you did. Sometimes you can cancel a swing when you see it happening, sometimes the game just screws you. It is very clear the game is coded to work with controllers and very poorly adapted to mouse and keyboard controls

Hard to believe but after 20 years Microsoft Links 2003 for the PC is STILL the best golf sim out there. This PS4 game pales in comparison.

I played this last night online some guy smashed a ball 150 yards out of a bunker with a driver and lined up like 2ft from the whole the hole game is pretty shitty and unrealistic

Pros: somewhat pretty and the game takes a lot of feel, just like real golf. Cons: The commentary is bad, and generally it gets boring quickly. If TW PGA tour still existed and was on PC this game would have no excuse for existing. I've put around 15 hours into it so far and expect to put 25-30 in total.

1:31 is about what you will experience 90 percent of the time. Missing by inches. Outside of the putting, this game is very good.

Tough call. I just started playing this recently after playing about 2500 holes in rory 2015. If you want a lot of options for courses get this game. Putting in rory is much more user friendly and much less frustrating. Hitting a 60 footer in rory is still challenging enough and on some greens like oakmont even hitting a 10 footer is a real challenge but the way the greens read in this game and with the difficulty of swing timing and tempo on putts it feels almost impossible to be a consistent putter in TGC.

I like rory better but likely only because I'm better at it. You can hit flop shots with just about every club and not being able to adjust the depth of your shot without just having to try hitting it softer makes it a lot more fun for a casual player.

Noah Winkler I just reinstalled Rory. Im itching to play again after a few years. I dont think ill buy this game due to no real pga players
