I am enjoying the new Math very much. I often felt overwhelmed by all the extras in the old one. This new one is still interesting and fun. And I really appreciate the binding on the new book (it's the little things!)

My daughter has dyscalculia and struggles with memorizing math facts specifically. The repetition was what made this program so good for her. I know for some it was too much but for us we do ALL games plus some so she can have more practice with facts and concepts. I can't decide between buying up the next few levels as is or trying the new one! Thanks for this video!

I’m excited for the new math when my kids are at that age!! I just placed my first homeschool order (ever!) the other day with tgatb and got their pre k and primer k, as well as some books from their library for my son. It was super exciting and I totally geeked out over making our first ever homeschool haul/order 🤦🏻‍♀️🥳

I’ve been modifying the curriculum to suit my kids needs, and it’s working fine, but I am very excited for it to be simplified!

I am beyond excited about this change. My kids absolutely love the math program and I can see a huge improvement with their learning. The manipulatives are a lot for me to handle and the games with the number cards can be frustrating for me to organize daily. I was seriously considering switching despite how much my kids love the math and this is an answer to my prayers.

I'm excited to see what they do with the new math curriculum, though I really like the old versions, so I stocked up through Level 3 for my kiddos. I love that TGATB really cares about how families use their curriculum and are as quick as possible to make adjustments if needed. That really shows that they care about the families they serve.

That's awesome that they are working to improve! We are halfway through level 1 math and want to chuck all the "math activity box" pieces out the window! I hate all the clutter and pieces! I'm so glad that they are changing and streamlining it!

I remember years ago saying to my husband that if I were to write a curriculum I would make it with the best of all styles which I believe this Company did. Then every update they make fixes anything that bothers me. I really with I had this with my grown kids but I am so glad I get to with the last 4. ❤

Ashlee, I may cry!! I have been researching new math curriculum ideas for my daughter bc she and I have struggled to agree on a curriculum. I liked TGATB which we used last year, but she felt it was too long. She likes stream lined, but I feel like the new curriculum we used this year was lacking. Sooo, I pray this may be a compromise for both of us!! I also think the video portion will be beneficial too💗

Thank you so much for making a video about TG&TB math! We love it and I was surprised to hear about the change. However, I think the updates they are doing will be great- lower price point, shorter lessons, less moving parts. It sounds similar to the changes they made to LA, which I have been happy about. I trust what they’re doing and will keep using what we have and then move into the new math next school year.

I just purchased the math that was 75% off. My daughter struggles with math and has tried just about every program out there. She seen the sample pages, is so excited that it was horses 🐴 and farming. We can’t wait to get it.

That’s super interesting. I switched to TGATB math 3 for my son partly because we were doing Abeka math and it was taking like 40 minutes. I’m really enjoying the math 3, and I feel like it’s fun for my son and hits multiple learning styles. It usually takes us 20 minutes, max 25. I’m going to get the discounted math 2 for my daughter now.

I am so excited for this! I was using TGTB Level K and the specific things they're adjusting are the exact reason as to why I switched. But I am looking forward to maybe coming back once I see the new curriculum:) we are loving their language arts!

I love TGTB math for my daughter and I went ahead and stocked up on the next 2 levels for such a deep discount! But I am excited to see what the new program is like because I know it will be amazing too, and the new price is amazing!

We don't use TG&TB but I think its great that they listened to customers concerns. I can only imagine that it cost the company money in order to redo it.

Thank you for sharing the updates, we are working on Math Level 1, just finished Part 1, and started on Part 2 just before winter break, our 1st grader is doing really well with the current curriculum and we all like it very much. I went ahead and ordered Level 2 at 75% off since it is working well for us. Looking forward to the new curriculum.

I couldn't get the kindergarten math this year for me kindergartner and had to go elsewhere but bought every set that was on sale during the sale lol. I was not about to pass that up. If it's too much I know how to skip lol. It'll be here tomorrow. So excited

I'm so excited to see the new changes! We stopped level K math halfway through because it was to long and to many manipulatives. My daughter caught on quickly and didn't need so much. I regretted spending so much $$ 😖 I didn't think I would use TGATB math in the future but maybe we will ! Can't wait to see it!

Thanks for the update! We love the math as is but do skip some of the extras as needed. I honestly didn't think they would do away with something that was terrible. I'm excited to start this with her, but even more excited for a more streamlined level 1! I’m so excited to hear they are redesigning!!! I completely agree with the changes!! I taught Level K and Level 1 for both my kids last year but we discontinued it because the math activity box was incredibly tedious to sort thru every single lesson!! I tried to organize it in so many different ways but never could get the items and all the different laminated sheets within arms reach! The lessons themselves were very thorough and engaging and my kids really enjoyed them. Their favorite part was Daily Dose and the Bonus Activities! Even the worksheets were very colorful and interesting. I will definitely be interested to try the new version!! 🙂

My 7 and 9 year old love this math. Sometimes they do two lessons at a time. I bought math 2, math 3, and the math box for 3 and 4 at the sale price. I will get math 4 too and then start the new math when we get to math 5. We Love The Good and The Beautiful and Thankful for the sale they had. My son also Loves the manipulatives so we are trying to do the math they have now as long as we can. Ali Lewis

Thanks for posting this. I have struggled with all the extra fluff of it. With my sim who is super math geared and finds math easy. I love the idea of video lessons if they need to learn it differently than mom does. I was trying to decide if we would transition him to what his sister uses TTB but now I think we may try year 3 with TGTB as I was worried about him going into online math. This helped a lot

I think its cool that they're redoing the math since we've never used it as we've been happy with Teaching Textbooks but I do have a baby whose almost 2 that I'd love to start with TGTB math once he gets old enough HAHA!

Ohhh I'm so excited! We gave up on TGATB math for our 6 year old son because he got so annoyed with it. He's advanced in math but I can totally see how the repetition and such can be great for others!

I have used MUS Primer through Geometry so far with my bigs and was looking at trying TGAB K math next year for my littles but it seemed like a lot. With 5 kids preschool to high school I need simple and effective. I'm looking forward to the new Simple Math curriculum. I am surprised that you didn't get a lot of the standard "is it common core" questions.

I bought the clearances math for the next few years, but I’m guessing I will be unloading them on a BST somewhere once the videos of the new math releases (so I can see them). I love the curtain math, but love the idea of there being less moving pieces AND video lessons (to use as needed).

I was so excited for the discount! I'm sure the updated ones will be good too, but I purchased all the levels from 1-3 for both of my girls. $25 ish for an entire year was crazy good! We did Saxon this year, and my oldest who used to love math started to hate it. She's loving level 2 of TGAB math so far, so I'm glad we purchased all of it. Both my girls love all of the manipulatives.

Wow. I guess eventually maybe you can give us a peak at the new math books. I would love that. My 3 year old will need math eventually! Lol

I admit I was thrown off when I read their email about the math but as I read through their reasons I just felt that much more respect for how much they care about their customers and their feedback! I am using math K with my 5yr old. We love it! So I ordered the next level immediately when I saw the sale.We love the manipulative box, so I’m a little worried about losing that in the new levels. Will the manipulatives still be included? Thanks for explaining.

I think these changes all sound good. I liked the current edition but I stopped using it because it took us too long a day to get through, so this may be a good option now that they are changing it.

Yay! We switched to Lessons for a Living Education for all of those reasons! I really liked TGATB but had all the problems mentioned so we had to go to another curriculum. So I will happily switch back to this new math curriculum. Cant wait! They are such an amazing company just for listening to customers and wanting to improve their product and have high standards for themselves. Awesome. Thank you for explaining all of this!

I ordered both Level 2 and K of the TGTB Math, after using Masterbooks Math for a bit. I then had regrets after only 3 lessons. I knew it was too much and taking too long for what I’m able to do with 3 young kids - not to mention disappointed to learn I really needed to laminate pieces and purchase even more items that no longer came in the kits. 😫 I feel like I’ve wasted so much money. I’m so excited they’ll be coming out with a new curriculum! It was definitely needed. Math should be viewed as simple, because it can quickly become confusing to kids, so no need to make it more extensive than need be. So happy with the pricing as well. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for this video. When I pulled my son out of online public school I researched for days. I found TGTB but the math looked to overwhelming with all the manipulative’s and time consuming and time is not on my side with my ADHD/ ASD son. Im really excited for this new math, the math he has now is too boring for him.

We have been using G&B Language Arts for all 3 kids. I purchased the level K math for my youngest when I saw the sale. My kids are using Math U See, but I wasn't loving the Primer level for my youngest who gets 2 years of kindergarten here in CA. The kids are enrolled in a home based charter that will purchase curriculum (not G&B though). We had trouble getting the manipulatives for Math U See as well. I think all companies were seeing huge jumps in supply demands this year. I love that G&B decided to make a more affordable curriculum. The cost of the previous math was a turn off for me. I purchased the newest level for LA 4 for daughter and also found the price with 2 books to be kind of high compared to the level 1 I use for my son where I just needed to purchase the 1 workbook.

We love the math currently. I, like you do not stress if we don’t get to all the bonus things. I ordered the next level for my daughter since she is thriving with it, and we will be done with level 1 early March. I got math K for my younger son as well just because I think he will love all the hands on manipulitives and games. I was stressing because we like it and don’t necessarily want the change, but every update I have seen from them so far has been awesome. So this is me putting it into the Lord’s hands. Lol. My kids love it but based on how long it took us to get through it each day... It just was consuming too much of my day to sit with them and do it. I was also considering a switch. And was adding in other math activities to supplements. All that to say... I didn't mean that to sound selfish. We just have other subjects to fit in with dinner prep and other household things, plus extracurriculars. I was having to pick and choose on our busier days if we even did math because it became overwhelming and took too long.

I love TGATB math, because it's fun, it's beautiful, etc. BUT this is exactly why we are quitting it and going with something else. It is TOO MUCH for me to do with one child, let alone all 3 of mine. It's a beautiful curriculum and if you and your kid are into doing that much, then you will love it.

I wonder if one of the original authors of the original program didn't bring up some intellectual property issues in possibly wanting to break off and start her own program.....the whole "won't be sold by TGTB" (but leaving it open to possibly be sold by someone else?) and rebranding/legality/contract issues that didn't seem to be an issue when they redid the LA programs makes me wonder. I am glad that they took the opportunity to improve the product during all of this. Whatever is happening beyond the scenes we, as consumers, shouldn't feel entitled to be privy to any of that information.

Just all 300 of you lol!😂 I knew we were gonna grab 3/4 maybe 5 bc the extensive stuff works great w/mine and im sure the new version will be ok too but hello those prices 🔥! A co. that listens to feedback is priceless too. I lost almost 800 on Abeka when it failed us so people gotta realize this is the most affordable high quality curriculum even at reg prices. Do you know how much the PDF version is going to be ☺️?? I wants to use TGTB but I didn’t want to print out all the manipulatives and put them together myself for still so much we were using math mammoth, but I would love to use TGTB math and I’m excited about this !
