You should have skipped the checkpoint, then done the skull coaster, then grabbed the checkpoint. Would have been faster than redoing it every time you died...
srwapo he got the checkpoint without knowing there were keys because if he didn't there was a chance of dieing and you can't get rid of a checkpoint than get it again so I think he did right
Sky Emblem The first time, yeah. But he restarted at least twice and had a chance then. It probably also would have been faster to redo the level/checkpoint than doing the entire skull coaster a second time.
Ryu, this game conditions all of us to hit every check point immediatly, but if you collected the coaster coins before, you could avoid doing it everytime you died. I admire your dedication though.

Hahaha every time I watch this video I always have to laugh at Ryu missing the red coin while having a super in depth conversation about the red vs pink argument and the shades of color of the key and the actual coin itself.
I was dying laughing watching you miss that coin over and over. Also, agree that you had to include the 30 minutes of coaster time so we could feel the torture with you. Hilarious vid, thanks.
The last stage was also very good and the redoing the blue coaster ride could had been skipped that if you didn't get the checkpoint before, but after doing the ride. The dev was nice enough to put that skip pipe at the checkpoint.

Though i kept thinking... specially after having to restart it, in that last level, wouldn´t have been better to pick the checkpoint AFTER collecting the red coins in the rollercoaster? I mean, you would have had them if you died, and you could still get back up into the pipe. Also, you missing that red coin in the 1ups corner like... 4-5 times in a row? was freaking hilarious xD that´s what happens when you don´t put your head into the game. Really funny :D

Toby Hinloopen Except how was the player supposed to know the coaster would be such a huge nuisance? You can't seriously believe that anyone playing this for the first time besides the creator will know you should *skip the checkpoint* ? Expecting someone to know that without being previously told or experiencing it beforehand is ludicrous! Grabbing checkpoints could mean the difference between starting the level over or not, why would you just ignore it? So yes, the creator should have put the checkpoint *after* the coaster. Right now it's bad level design.
sorta agree with both of you. the good aspect of the level for the expert challenge of the platforming. the bad aspect is definitely lack of final checkpoint placements. aside from needing a checkpoint after the coaster, i think there should also be a checkpoint after unlocking the final door. (when you fight the baby bowser) because, as ryu said, if you mess up with bowser, you have to get all the keys over again from the start.

That last level was just full of bullshit. Like the fact that the creator put the boss after you get all of the key coins and if you fail you have to start the entire level again. Thats bad level design. Shame on the creator.
That's not bad level design. The troll was in fact designed brilliantly. He took into account that you'd have to go back to the start after dying with the key. The tediousness was clearly intentional and executed to perfection.

RYU I know you probably won't see this but would definitely suggest a game to you called Geometry dash it's epic the deco is amazing and its like a WAY more rewarding version of SMM you would love it :)
If you don't believe me look up a guy called trust and look at him beating a level called yatagarasu ... then you'll no how insane the game gets.... guys like this to get to top!
the gauntlets do add some good challenge and good levels, I do see why you think they are unnecessary, but they keep me trying at the same levels that i wouldn't have found before.
What is more painful? 1. Watching you miss the red coin? 2. The conveyor? 3, Quitting the video at the 43 minute mark to see you never complete the level? The memory of failure must stay within me. lol
It's funny. I'm studying for exams and thought that it's really tedious and annoying so I wanna have a small break and watch your new video. I feel very humbled and continue to study even if it's tedious at times now ;_;
