Harmonic Changelings is both one of the most cursed things in tjis mod and also it's canon in the show.

I didn't realize you could force the equestrian civil war

DShakey Don't feel bad for losing the civil war the first time. Is definitely one of the harder wars in the game, and even if you can stabilize the initial lines it can still be immensely difficult. Thorax took me 2 attempts. Communist Wingbardy also took 2, because I lost the initial Civil war. Brodfeld the first time I played them took 2 attempts. Operation Herzmersch (whereupon the Empire Declares war on all the Imperial Vassals SIMULTANEOUSLY) with the Lord Protector Dawnclaw took 3 tries, and remains the only case where I had to restart from day 1 AND completely rework my strategy (Felt Great to win though, even if I felt like a total bastard for shooting [REDACTED]), Fethesia (pre-Herzlands) took 2 attempts. Communist Yale and Non-Aligned Cylanosia (normal, not Free State) also needed a full restart for the second attempt. Suprisingly, Yale (Both Project Routes) and Fascist Angriver took one attempt each. Other Difficult things I plan to attempt that will likely take multiple tries are Solo Harmonist Skyfall vs the Empire, Pony Stalin in the River Fed, and Solo-ing Crysalis as Olenia on every ideology (looking particularly forward to the challenge of doing it as Johan).

So, by the way, there are another good changelings in this world - this is Greencliff led by Queen Gita. They even have their own special tree of focuses and a chain of events. Unfortunately, they do not work as well as we would like. But you can try to play for them somehow.

I would personally recommend rushing to the focus where you decide what economy to use (state capitalism seems the best to me), then the focus that gives Olenia harmonic support. Then look for the military focus that gets rid of the Hive Militia spirit. Then work on your economy until Olenia hits around 50% Harmony support and then start the civil war, and immediately proceed to the intervention. Once the civil war is won, you'll want to beline the Commonwealth, then probably the Olenian advisor focus so you can get the Silent Workdeer for the PP. War support is relatively easy to get up, so I'd recommend leaving Thorax in charge when you get the choice between him or Velvet, then focus on getting cores on Olenia via focus. Also, try to prioritize the research slot in the Economy branch and Commonwealth branch.

One man against the world! Are you gonna release any nation you fight or are you gonna annex? Also, free the Deer in Olenia eventually. If you restore the Princess there and marry her you get lots of really good bonuses, plus you can combine your nations eventually. But hey, I haven’t tried the other routes yet; those could be good too!

Still waiting for this mod and "Old World Blues" to catch up with 1.9 and "La Résistance" So this will help to A: Kill Time, and B: Figure out how to pull Thorax's Coup off

If free healthcare makes you communist, then most of Europe has been red for a long time. I played a game as harmonist changelings once, and basically set the entire world to go fascist so I could liberate them. Harmony is non-negotiable, and all that. Ended up basically going for a world conqu- liberation. Fighting the griffonian empire was by far the hardest as they had practically the entire continent, and had cored all of the griffon states. They had 1000+ military factories, ~2k divisions and 200k planes as well as 20million fielded manpower. I did beat them, despite being outnumbered 5 to 1, by using mechanised and a copious amount of nukes. I just barley managed to scrape enough air superiority to drop nukes, and had the AI built air bases closer to their front I definitely would have failed.

Perhaps try out Harmonist Angriver with Hera Eichberg next? I heard, that it has some pretty... interesting events and focuses. (Go for Republican path to get Gerhard in power, and then Hera will be one of the options to pick. After that... Well, I don't want to spoil much, but it is a pretty wild ride.)
