Although I didn’t end up getting into Dartmouth, I will be attending UCLA this fall, and can wholeheartedly say that my application wouldn’t have been as strong as it was without your videos. Hey Josh!!!! You were the person I used to always go to when my friends and I wanted to learn regarding the college application process. Honestly, you are the most honest and likeable youtuber I've seen. And one of my friends applied and got into Dartmouth at well. All your videos have been immensely helpful. It feels insane to me that I have literally been watching fragments of your life for three years now, since you were a pre-frosh. It was your channel (and Hannah Likes Science) that convinced me to apply ED to Dartmouth when other people were pressuring me to apply to other schools. I'm international and I didn't have the chance to visit schools, so I had to "bet" on a school using information gained purely remotely, which for me meant you guys. I got in (as a '23) and was there for two terms before this long hiatus. If this is the end, I just wanted you to know that, in a very real sense, you guys altered the course of my life. I owe you one. And while I know you hate the old you, it was that you that really helped me. When I met you on campus, I could see aspects of that as well. It's not my place to tell you how to be, but I'd advise against losing that version of you entirely. I too have changed a lot in the past year I think. I know more about what I want from Dartmouth, and, more importantly, what I want to leave college having done. So, in a sense, I will also be reintroducing myself to Dartmouth and my classmates. I kind of look forward to it. I wish you the best of luck for whatever you plan on doing in the future. If this is the end, it has been a very good run.
